Inspired by Studio Ghibli's beloved film "My Neighbor Totoro," I've taken the carefree forest spirit and infused it with a fresh twist in my own Mingo style. I've always been captivated by the character's immense presence, and I've reimagined Totoro with larger eyes and lips while adding my unique touch. In my artwork, I depict a cheetah wearing a cheetah skin suit, and it's a symbolic reflection on the struggle we all face in being comfortable with our true selves. This illustration prompts us to question the societal pressures that often nudge us towards conformity, and the art of embracing individuality.

The cheetah, in its natural form, is a stunning embodiment of authenticity. With its distinctive spots and remarkable speed, it unapologetically stands out as a remarkable predator. However, when it adorns a cheetah skin suit, it becomes a striking metaphor for the masks we sometimes wear to fit in. I use this visual to remind us that we should celebrate our uniqueness, our "spots," and confidently be ourselves.

Our lives shouldn't be mere costumes we wear to meet others' expectations. Rather, they should be an expression of our true selves, much like the cheetah celebrating its spots. So, as I share this artwork, I hope you find inspiration to break free from societal norms, to be proud of your individuality, and to embrace your own "skin" with confidence. In a world that sometimes pushes us to conform, my art tells you that the most captivating individuals are those who dare to be themselves.

Forgotten Feeling #48

Wanted to bring some new life to my eyes and decided to try some mandala work.

Also wanted to make sure this Feeling was smiling :)

Really happy with the way this Feelings ended up. Added a flute melody to the audio for the NFT and it all comes together really nicely to bring this character to life for myself.
