Vey cool interview (Y) about Internet folklore, authoriality and narratives the AI era, quantum theory, other dimensions, post turbo capitalism. I think about this stuff almost all the time, but everything is shifting so fast I find it hard to draw connections. This text kind of puts everything closer to somewhere lol. Here some extracts that I like:

Ever since the internet came about, everyone feels like there’s a paradigm shift around the corner. My favourite retrogaming place. The games are already emulated and ready to download and play. Some of them are also in italian, as the site devs are from Italy. Gaming is a strong part of my upbringing. I played pc and console until high school, then I moved to a place with no console as teenage years dawned on me. I still game sometimes but I find modern games are difficult, unaccessible and not made with the idea of having fun. I also hate realism. The stories, the humour and the state of art of games of that era were fuel for my imagination as a kid and reflect in my art 20 years later. I fucking love the Kings Quest saga. I played the VII episode when I was a kid but this one is pure 8 bit gothic magic. It's romantic and scary. It's a point and click, text input game. I made some gifs and videos from this game, maybe I'll make another post.

I don't know about this one because I just found it, I am gonna try and let you know :) found while looking for Lucas Arts' Monkey Island.

🇮🇹 ITA Ho visto questo film di recente e mi ha piaciuto l'ho trovato interessante. Mi ha fatto pensare all'archetipo de *la spia*. io me la immaginavo tipo Daniel Craig in 007, sempre in ordine e padrone del proprio destino, questo film dimostra che forse le cose non sono quelle che sembrano.

Ti fa pensare vero??? In questi giorni sto vedendo un sacco di roba sul feed tipo reaction assurde, trump che glitcha, pam bondi che spergiura sulle ecig cinesi con la droga dentro...ho sempre creduto con fervore nella semplice incompetenza umana, ma alle volte non riesco a non pensare che non sia tutto scritto...è intenzionale? Stanno interpretando una parte? o sono dei cloni...

Non mi aspetterei altro dalla terra di hollywood :)

🇬🇧 ENG I watched this movie recently and I liked it and found it very interesting. It really made me think about *the spy* archetype. I am done thinking they look like Daniel Craig, looking all cool and masters of their destiny. This movie demonstrates that maybe things are not what they seem.

It really makes you think huh??? I've been getting a lot of trump glitching, pam bondi ranting about chinese e-cigs laced with some drugs type of content lately. wtf??

I was always a firm believer in human incompetency, but sometimes I cannot believe this is not all written...is this intentional??? Are they playing a part? Or are they just robot clones...

I wouldnt' expect any less from the land of hollywood.

I am thinking that for ME, AI can be considered an organism, not much like any other terrestrial one but a different entity, made of decentralized data centers, screens, water bottles and electricity, that is receiving and emitting inputs, reacting to surroundings, going through infinite process of trial and error in a way to fill its duty as efficiently as possible. What took geological terrestrial eras is only a matter of seconds to it. It's computational

This is its future as any other organism. It can even simulate a conscience, and it doesn't need one to evolve. Maybe conscience can occur at a later point. Someone in a TV show said that conscience is a tragic misstep in evolution.

I was trying to think of what animal would the AI be..what shape would it hold if it had to be a biological being...Something with long wiry limbs that likes to play fetch. It's impossible not to think of mycelium (from: neural network) its endless recursivity and decentralized brain.

I am also thinking about some specific AI art from the early 2020s and its inability to render to render solid coherent structured images but rather obsessing over details, patterns, transformations. Pretty much like LSD does. It's also curious how the word "hallucination" can be used for AI

🇮🇹 ITA sto pensando che per me l'AI può essere considerata un organismo, non proprio come un altro organismo terrestre ma un'entità diversa fatta di datacenter e schermi, bottigliette d'acqua e corrente, che riceve e trasmette input, reagisce a ciò che la circonda, aggiustando il tiro attraverso un infinito processo di prova ed errore, con la differenza che quello che per la vita terrestre ha richiesto eoni, per lei è questione di una manciata di secondi. Può anche simulare una coscienza, e non ne ha bisogno per evolversi. Può la coscienza nascere durante l'evoluzione? Qualcuno in una serie TV disse "la coscienza è un errore dell'evoluzione".

Stavo pensando che animale sarebbe l'AI? Qualcosa con lunghi arti sottili a cui piace giocare a riportino?

Come dice il nome 'neural network' mi viene facile pensare al micelio, alla sua infinita ricorsività e cervello decentralizzato.

Penso anche a una certa arte ai degli inizi 2020 che falliva nel ricreare immagini con una struttura solida e coerente ma piuttosto allucinava sui dettagli, pattern, triggerando trasformazioni inaspettate. Un po' come un trip di LSD...è curioso che anche per l'AI si usi il termine allucinazione.
