in 15x10, in his dream sequence dean tap dances with a lamp, a symbol of the light in his life. the light that chuck is trying to snuff out and he performs the tap dance rountine to irving aaronson’s let’s misbehave.

the lyrics can line up pretty well with cas and dean. it takes me back all the way back to 4x22 when chuck tells dean and cas “you’re not in this story” and cas declares “we’re making it up as we go.” and this is long before chuck’s true identity as god is revealed.

cas who famously has a crack in his chassis and always misbehaves. which going back to 15x17, chuck points out to cas in the same conservation he has with dean and team free will above, echoing what naomi had told cas in 8x21.

in his dream, garth is leading him in the dance number before dean takes over on his own and eventually finds himself slow dancing with a lamp before blowing it a kiss.

earlier in this episode, it’s shown he’s longing for the life that garth has. he wants a partner to share his life with.

and at the end of the episode, he watches wistfully as garth and bess dance through the window.

THE GUY DIDNT EVEN SAY ANYTHING. He just looked at dean, smirked like an asshole, turned Dean on, and DIDNT DIE.

Dean would be attracted to someone who walked in the door, slaughtered everybody and walked out, and then he would say, 'Who's that?'

Like, Dean views himself as harmful. He beats himself up for not protecting everyone. Other characters push the idea to him that he is violent, he’s a killer. But Cas looks at him and says you are the most caring selfless loving human I’ve ever known.

Cas sees himself as a soldier. His purpose is to be useful, fulfill missions even when they’re bloody. He tries to do well but feels like he only fails, which is echoed by other characters too. But Dean looks at him and says I need you. You’re a weird dorky little guy and I want you to just sit and watch movies with me and listen to the music I like.

Dean Winchester *makes reference every sentence or so, uses sayings, invents new words, changes everyone name, therefore succeeding to create the first and only language unintelligible for Cas*

he sees the pink panties (insert 5x04 flashbacks) and immediately look at cas

and you can tell he's thinking about panties + cas because he looks away quickly and scrunchies up his face and is like ohhhhh no don't think about that don't think about that

but THEN he apparently just... gives the panties to cas??

then he randomly has to sit down and check out the pizza box (i learned that from the pizzaman HELLO?!?!?!)

and then he picks up a guitar and starts strumming away

and pointedly looks at cas as he does so

remember, the only other time we've seen dean with a guitar was when he was trying to impress that girl he liked in 9x07
