Like, they made it pretty clear that she was an 18 year old girl breaking down and regressing to patterns/behaviour from when she was younger after an intense trauma because the reality that she might not live into her twenties had fully sunk in and she wanted to have her youth back.

I’m all for the suspension of disbelief, but fact that Daryl kept the nazi stickers on Merle’s bike and was never shown to have had to deal with any issues because of them is throwing me off so bad.

Like, I get the emotional aspects for why he didn’t change it - He was extremely attached to Merle and desensitized to a degree to his bigotry, and he intended on returning it to Merle anyways, but then Merle died he couldn’t bring himself to change the only thing he had left of him.

And I also understand why it was never addressed in a narrative sense, because why on Earth would anyone try to add a storyline where someone, especially someone who would be targeted by nazis, calls out a cis, white man for having nazi stickers on his bike and is met with “well, actually he’s a good guy, he’s just emotionally attached to the bike and won’t change it because it used to belong to his brother, so you can either get used to seeing those nazi symbols or you can leave.” And it would be something impossible to do without unnecessarily bankrupting people in the main cast morally.

But Jesus Christ - I can’t get over the implication that no one outside the main group (who knew about the bike’s origins and how much it meant to Daryl) recognized it and brought it up or that people did but said absolutely nothing. Like, they had tons of people there, and a lot of them were older and/or people of color. It feels too unrealistic for no one to clock it or take issue with it.
