That is literally a post I just saw with so many notes. It makes me so fucking embarrassingly, unreasonably (I am aware) angry. How can the distribution of empathy and compassion, the recognition of loss and labor, be so royally fucked? You are looking at the most privileged being in the universe and think she is the victim? Yeah, Usagi does go through rough things, no one is suggesting otherwise, but—if I may remind you all—that applies to every Senshi. You know why Usagi has the luxury of wanting to be Usagi? Because she actually has a happy life with a functional family and friends outside the Sailor circle. All the other Senshi are programmed and destined to die for her. Makoto is an orphan. Rei’s mom is dead, and her father is estranged. Ami has a single mom who works her ass off to provide for her daughter. None of Usagi’s friends, not even Mamoru, gets a fulfilled life beyond making Usagi’s dreams come true. They don’t get a present, a functional family. They are written by Guardian Cosmos to wait for the vacancy in their hearts and life to be filled with devotion for Usagi. They are assets with a heartbeat, cosmic capital for Serenity, who has an unlimited ontological credit. No loss Usagi experiences are permanent. And, btw, all Usagi wants in canon is being with Mamoru, and she is. Again and again and again. Canon does not even have the decency to tell us what happens to her friends when Usagi does not need them anymore, because Chibiusa got her own servants delivered and stored for her until she needs friends.

a Black 14 year old was getting accused of shit by two grown men ... he was scared. he was right to be scared bc look what the fuck they did to him. ya'll say to comply but he did. he complied, showed them his pockets and then tried to intimidate them back bc he was scared

since he didn't just get in line the way they expected him to, they chased him for 300 feet and shot him in the back

you can't fear someone running away from you is actively a danger to you and the person beside you

this Asian American family of 3, all grown adults, leave their corner store that they’re so concerned about being stolen from, to chase down a 14 year old Black boy for what they ASSUMED was a $1.00 bottle of water, and shot him dead when the boy brandished gun he had on him to warn them back and protect himself, and instead of letting him go and leaving well enough alone, the father came and shot that boy dead.

the surveillance video of first, the mother following Cyrus around the store, and then all three of them running out behind him with threatening looks on their faces is insane. absolutely disgusting.

Over 200 Algerians were killed that night over 500 if you count the one killed in the following nights but thousands more were arrested (over 10000) every single ministry was an accomplice they used to public buses to transport them kept them in a stadium because the precincts were not big enough… While the people killed were men and women, the people arrested were a huge majority of men. So the following days the women and children started calling for a peaceful march to ask for their husbands and fathers to be released. This time they knew that the public opinion wouldn’t look kindly to it if they killed them. So the police instead arrested the women and sent them to a psychiatric hospitals saying they were unstable and needed to be locked inside. Luckily the director was a good man so he refused to lock the women inside the hospital saying they were perfectly sane but he also refused to let the police take them. So he waited until the police left to help the women leave back to their places.

There’s a documentary about it (I don’t remember if the psychiatric hospital was in this documentary or in an other) made by an Algerian woman in the diaspora in France. It’s filled with testimonies and a woman explains that when her husband left for the protest he told her to take care of the children and that if something happened to him she needed to make sure their children would go to school school and be good students. He survived to October 17 but was found and killed by the police on the 19th.
