I suppose the change for the anime was to make Pain and Konan complimentary (purple x orange), and to make Yahiko's original face more distinctive from Pain's. Not a bad change in my opinion, if that was the reason, means they decided to prioritize Pain x Konan's visual link over Yahiko x Konan and that's pretty valid

I think I love the ame trio almost entirely equally. I favour Yahiko a bit (unsurprisingly) because Pain was my original favourite one, and because Yahiko's presence/absence has such a shift on Nagato and Konan. I relate dearly to his rebelliously gentle nature. Also, he's one of the 'Naruto-type' characters along with Obito (who I too love) so that's an additional reason for my favouring of him lol (I love Naruto himself so sooo much, he's so special to me).

As for other ships, I'd say among favourites are NaruSasu(!!!), ObiKaka, ShiIta and KakuHida. I have a toxic taste for ObiNaga/ObiPain, in the otics of power disputes, and ObiKona in the otics of being projections of YahiKona and ObiRin (but I'm not a fan of either two when depicted as affectionate).

I also really JiraTsu, MinaKushi and HashiMada (as well as most ships in the Founders Era, thanks to my friend Lee and their beautiful art).

I'd say these are the ones I actively go and search art about in more or less extents, though there are many other ones I appreciate when I find an artist that depicts them beautifully.

I do not have bluesky! My only other socials besides tumblr are twitter, Ao3 and pixiv! I also keep still keep my ko-fi active, though for the time being I'm not doing the sketch requests I did for a moment there!

If Brazil ever tries to nuke twitter again like it did once, I think I'll mostly keep to tumblr instead of moving there, though if it ever happens I'll update it here! 💐

I've been revisiting some character art/manga panels/anime screencaps and it seems Yahiko is left-handed. Nice quirk as left-handed sword fighters tend to have an advantage over right-handed ones due to the surprise factor (as there are fewer) and the fact that left-handed wielders most certainly have a lot of more experience with the opposite handed fighters than vice-versa.

So, a very nice finding (though it means I've lots of incorrect art lmfao. I'll fix it from now on).
