if you ask me, the guy who put the sword INTO the stone should be king, not the chucklefuck who got it out.
I assume the guy who put the "sword that makes you the king" into the stone, doesn't really want the position
i think the stone should be king since it held the sword the longest
idk if unalive has ever helped anyone not get banned from any website but it is impossible for me to separate it from deadpool in that one episode of that one animated spiderman show
they were so ahead of their time
a person from 150 years ago would be terrified by modern stuff . however , a duck from 150 years ago would just be all like ,still got lakes? yes ? okay cool
âHow fleeting are all human passions compared with the massive continuity of ducks.â
â Dorothy L. Sayers, Gaudy Night (1935)
Reblogging again because I thought they changed the quote so I decided to look up the actual quote and itâs not fake that is very much the actual quote
Yeah you're right. It WOULD be pretty fucked up if you were a swan but you were raised by ducks and you grew up never seeing another swan or even knowing that such a thing as a swan even existed so you just thought you were a duck with something super wrong with it.

imagine if a fuckinâŚâŚ. giant alien just showed up and stuck a huge hand in front of your face and then proceeded to offer you three different houses and wouldnât stop until you moved out of your old shitty apartment and then helped you fuckin move
and then just left
I first saw this on twitter and COULD NOT get over these comments:

you have to let yourself be a weird woman or you will not survive
never beating the weird bitch allegations
I feel like when I say ârelatableâ what I really mean is âresonant.â I donât want characters who I feel are like me, I want characters who have emotions so strong I can feel them through the page.
I think this is important because a lot of us forget the power of stories to make us feel things about characters who are not like us, who have experienced things that we never will. The purpose of listening to someone elseâs story should not necessarily be identification, but understanding.
Remember when Ursula K. Le Guin called JK Rowling a nasty basic bitch back in like, 2004? We should have listened
âThis last is the situation, as I see it, between my A Wizard of Earthsea and J.K.Rowlingâs Harry Potter. I didnât originate the idea of a school for wizards â if anybody did it was T.H.White, though he did it in single throwaway line and didnât develop it. I was the first to do that. Years later, Rowling took the idea and developed it along other lines. She didnât plagiarize. She didnât copy anything. Her book, in fact, could hardly be more different from mine, in style, spirit, everything. The only thing that rankles me is her apparent reluctance to admit that she ever learned anything from other writers. When ignorant critics praised her wonderful originality in inventing the idea of a wizardsâ school, and some of them even seemed to believe that she had invented fantasy, she let them do so. This, I think, was ungenerous, and in the long run unwise.â
i found the specific quote i was thinking of x
Q: Nicholas Lezard has written âRowling can type, but Le Guin can write.â What do you make of this comment in the light of the phenomenal success of the Potter books? Iâd like to hear your opinion of JK Rowlingâs writing style
UKL: I have no great opinion of it. When so many adult critics were carrying on about the âincredible originalityâ of the first Harry Potter book, I read it to find out what the fuss was about, and remained somewhat puzzled; it seemed a lively kidâs fantasy crossed with a âschool novelâ, good fare for its age group, but stylistically ordinary, imaginatively derivative, and ethically rather mean-spirited.
damn gurl :â]

âno one for presidentâ you sound like such a fucking cringe edgelord and unless u plan on staging a massive revolution in a country of 300 million spanning 3.8 million square miles and overthrowing the government before November I would suggest voting for the candidate who DOESNT cater to white supremacy subcultures, getting involved in local community services & initiatives, donating to causes, or campaigning/protesting instead of this performative mock activism
Saw this this morning while I was feeling very low and tired, and I thought it would help any other Black women feeling the same.
Black women, we gotta take care of ourselves, and it's OKAY to do so. Not even just in the coming months, but all the time. We are worth love, respect, and dignity, no matter how much this world wants to force us to believe less. đđžđ
Yes, I would appreciate it if you shared this for the Black women in your circles to see đđž
