I am completely desensitized to seeing penises. I see them with the same detached objectivity that a mortician has with the dead. I don't think SW made me this way. I come from a family of artists gifted at life painting, so I've never found the human body to be particularly startling.

I recently cut off a good friend of mine after he sent me an unsolicited picture of his penis while he was inebriated. I received it at the office, so aside from the initial shock of the timing, I felt completely neutral toward the image itself (well, as much as one can be in this circumstance). I was still upset. This was someone I trusted and was close to for years. He was always protective of me and would immediately want to step in if someone was being unkind to me, which is kind of ironic now. I responded to his photo with an insult and then he never heard from me again.
