Must have things for your personal makeup collection

Hello! This is Valeria and today I will be talking about makeup storage. It’s known that professional makeup artists need to have a huge organized makeup kit because they need to work. But what about people that want to put in order their products and have a tidy and clean kit for themselves?

Here I will mention and then explaining the basic things you must have inside your makeup kit whether you are staying  in your own place and doing your makeup there or packing your things because you are traveling. 

This products will be really important in your entire makeup journey. Let’s begin!

Personal care

Cotton pads:

Don’t use toilet paper to remove your makeup. This might sound funny but sometimes we run out of makeup cleansing towelettes and we try to replace them using toilet paper. Cotton pads are the best option, they are not going to scratch or hurt your face.

Bi-facil makeup remover:

Just use a small amount and it will remove waterproof mascara, waterproof eyeliner and even lipstick. If you wear non-waterproof mascara and non-waterproof eyeliner, no worry! This product will do the work too.

Mild facial cleansing milk:

This cleanser removes impurities such as foundation, concealer, powders and any other products you applied in your whole face.

Toner:

Removes old products that stayed inside your pores.  Also cleanses the skin and shrink the appearance of pores.

Hydration cream:

Without a daily dose of hydration your skin would be flaky, itchy and tight. This cream leaves your face smooth and soft.

Lip balm or chapstick:

Dry lips is such a headache, so before applying your lipstick you must hydrate your lips, once you did this your lips are ready to apply lipstick and the finish will be better.

Rubbing alcohol:

The cheapest and easiest way to clean your brushes is using rubbing alcohol , it kills 99% of bacteria in your brushes.

Makeup

Before telling you the makeup products you need in your kit, I want to clarify that you don’t have to buy tons foundations/concealers/powders/blushers/bronzers in different shades or tons of eyeshadow palettes if you can’t afford them at the moment. You just need the right shades for you and your skin. Remember less is more.

Primer:

You must apply primer before putting your foundation; otherwise you will end with a cakey makeup look.

Foundation/BB cream:

Depending on the coverage you want on a daily basis, you can use a foundation that gives you a medium coverage or if you want a light coverage go for the bb cream!

Concealer:

Use it for dark circles and bags under your eyes.

Creamy/Compact eyeshadows: 

This is up to you; it’s all about your preferences. Use the colors you feel comfortable with. If you love matte shadows, apply those ones! If you love shimmery shadows, wear some shimmer in your eyes.

Eyeliner:

I would recommend you to buy a waterproof one if you work, go to school or have a busy day so you don’t have to touch your eye during the day.

Mascara: 

You pick between non-waterproofs and waterproofs mascara. This is the same as eyeliner, put in your kit the one you prefer.

Powder:

Use it to set your makeup. It doesn’t matter if you sweat because powder will give your face a flawless finish.

Lipstick:

Choose between nude/peachy/coral/red tones and give your lips some color. After you put lipstick, you can apply some lipgloss (this is an extra)

Blusher/Bronzer/Highlighter:

If you don’t have room for more stuff then you can pick a shadow that replaces this three products and you are done! However, if you want to purchase them that’s fine too.
