“The magazines don’t lie. Like before I came back here, I think the only real boobs I saw were my own on a cheat day,” he smirked.

“A cheat day?” She asked, confused.

“That’s freakin’ awesome, I love those kinda shows. Does much  happen in Southport?”

“Well, up until very recently I worked in Boston. Thus far, not much has happened around here though, no.”

“Say Something.” She smiled.

“Right. I mean I’d prefer to have went out without being soaked but I guess it was a free shower for a couple of days.” He shrugged, “and the reality… not many ‘real’ things out there.”

“Lots of fake boobs and fake marriages if you believe the magazines.” She laughed.

“Like CSI and that sorta thing?”

“I guess so, yeah.”

“Why not just sing all the time instead of missing it?”

“I get shy. Like all the time.”

He tilted his head slightly, a small crease forming in the gap between his eyebrows. “I guess you could look at it like that… Kind of disconnects you from reality for a little bit. I’ve been in LA too long to appreciate non-cgi'ed freak weather to be honest.”

“I mean, I think it’s easier than looking at it as something to be feared, right?” Ella smiled a little at his last comment, “With the movies and all, you mean?”
