As soon as her last text was sent she shot out of bed to make herself look somewhat presentable. Running a hand from through her curls and throwing on some mascara, she quickly changes from ratty sweats to a soft sundress. Thankfully the house was still clean so she didn’t have to worry about any of that. As soon as she hears the knock at the door, she can’t help but smile. Flinging it open, she steps aside for him. “Yes, pizza makes everyone more likable.” Athena agrees before pulling him close with a gentle fist closed around the front of his shit before pressing her lips to his. “Hey there, handsome.”

“Now this is getting cryptic.”

“Being cryptic is how I get people to be my friend.” Athena jokes, attempting to change the subject.

“You got rid of them?”

“In a sense, yes.”

“Oh wow, I’m quaking in my boots. We should fight them.”

“Can’t fight what isn’t there anymore.”

“What sort of true monsters?”

“The kind so bold they don’t even bother to hide under your bed.”

“Yeah, I’ve been working on that. Mom likes to say I’m intimidating.”

“Well you’re doing quite well, or it’s just hard to intimidate a person who’s seen true monsters.”
