“They sure are ugly sons of bitches… I’ve seen worse. Yeah yeah yeah, I’m staying back. I’ve got you covered from over here,” She grumbled, aiming the strange weapon in her hands towards one of the creatures and pulling the trigger. A beam of plasma, bright neon blue and as hot as the sun itself, shot out from the elongated barrel and sliced through the alien like being. Off lopped its arm and leg, making it fall to the ground in a heap of limbs and wails of pain.
“One down,” She said cheerfully, lining up another shot. She seemed to be getting an odd sense of pleasure from this - like she was far too used to doing this. A smug little grin crossed her face as she took down a couple more of the monsters.
“They’re like slicing through butter with a warm knife~” She laughed. “Fuck if necromorphs were this easy to kill I’d be fucking rich.”
For a mercenary, she was rather efficient, clearing several of them with her weapon. He was curious what kind of technology she handled and where he could get it, since the mass production of the Sengoku Driver would only produce so many, it was better to find weapons to fend off Inves.
Another two of them came directly towards him, using the blade of the Sonic Arrow to slash them horizontally, causing them to explode into nothing due the overcharge of energy coming from the blade. Takatora noticed that their numbers had drastically decreased, being but four left. The male was glad about it, meaning Ygdrassill could contain this area rather easily than usual. Or so he thought.
One of the Inves had noticed the vine of Helheim fruits that had come from the Crack, quickly lunging into it. The claws quickly hoarded all of them, ingesting them with loud growling noises. As it ate, the alien’s body started to mutate, his body covered in the same vine-like flora before shredding from it. The gray like skin had turned fiery red, and the body had became slightly more anthropomorphic than before, somewhat of a lion, shooting a large fireball from its snout, which it hit the ground, scorching it.
It was dangerous for the woman to fight this variant, so he decided to fight it on his own. “Stay away from the crack! Finish off the rest and ensure no other beast comes!” Takatora quickly charged towards the enemy, tackling the beast and forcing it to re enter the portal. Once inside, the male took a few steps away from it, aiming with the bow as it prepared another energy projectile.
