do people know that you can have romantic feelings for someone and decide it isn't important enough to pursue anything, without it having to be some kind of tragedy? and you can have romantic feelings for someone without wanting them reciprocated? and you can have romantic feelings for someone, even ones that are reciprocated, and still prefer to remain friends instead? and you can have romantic feelings that go away after a while? and you can have romantic feelings that don't result in intense jealousy when the other person has romance with someone else? do people know you can explore these things in fiction sometimes
