Hi! Iâm Elias, Wraith, Ace, whatever you want to call me. This is a side blog purely for my stories cause I figured it would be a good idea to separate this from the random pile of rocks that is my main blog. You can leave prompts or asks, and I will do my best to answer!
Constructive criticism is welcome, but please make it helpful. Example: âthis story sucksâ or âthe grammar is badâ isnât helpful but something like âthis was hard to read cause [reason]â or âyou should add a comma in [sentence] for it to be more legibleâ is helpful
just tell me the problem and a potential fix
Rules:
1: bigots are not welcome (homophobes, transphobes, racists, sexists etc)
2. please remember that I am not a professional writer my any means, I just like writing stories
#rock writes is for stories and answering various prompts
#ori rambles is me just talking about tropes or writing stuff i like or donât like
#not a writing is for stuff that arenât writings
#earthbound stars my current multipart story
#character intro a little bit of information about a character

Thanks @slightlylightly founded by Sunny Somrat, This is  SSFood Challenge
The players in and around Bangladesh play and are rewarded with food even losers get food. The combination of colorful games and the feel-good factor of nobody going home empty-handed has given Somrat a genuine hit.
Trans tetia could be so real like she's literally featured in the arc that talks about medicine and magic and bodily transformation like ???
shirahama has also made her talk about how clothes can "transform" a person two times now yes sure it can be all about poverty but you are ignoring the medical aspect of this arc which is too big to ignore
shirahama retweeted a tetia fanart on twitter a while ago where she'd holding flowers (i think) in the trans flag colours and the trans flag itself in the caption. so. its basically canon lol
here's the art and the very talented artist! (can't find it on twitter now lol)

man, it's so weird to look back on media you adored when you were younger and still have some love for it, somewhere deep down.
For me, that's genshin. I stopped playing ages ago, but i still remember all my favorites, how much fun exploring the world was, how i loved the story (even if that was mostly because of the characters), and shit i still want to write about it. i want to try my hand at maybe rewriting it. i couldn't tell you why, but it's so weird that it's still stuck in my heart.
granted, i could probably guess why. it got me through covid and all that brought down on my head, it reminds me of the friends that aren't mine anymore.
Ok so small update: Iâm adjusting the lore for Earthbound Stars to be less focused on greek mythology. i donât feel comfortable trying to write something like this about an existing mythology. it will still be (heavily) inspired by the greek mythos, but not so directly referencing it. It still takes place in Greece and iâll have plenty of references to that myth, but it feels incredibly wrong currently to alter the personalities of the gods in the way i write
if anyone is willing to hear out my ideas or tell me about living in Greece or worshipping their gods i would love to discuss it if youâre willing. i donât want to use stereotypes or misrepresent religions and cultures that are different from my own

I know it's been a while, sorry about that, but have a new bit! Did I look at the Wikipedia page for eggplants to figure out how people would refer to them in Greece for a single line? Yes I did! Anyway, behold, a very long boy. Lengthy even, dare I say... tol. Story starts under the keep reading thingy

The worryingly dark clouds hadnât started to storm when Arum arrived at his auntâs building. The air smelled like rain and lightning, but he couldnât say that he minded. Heâd spent so many long nights just listening to the rain on his window. It was the one thing that could get him to sleep when all else failed.
A crack of thunder made him frantically scuttle under the awning of a nearby shop. Dammit, is it going to start pouring? He thought miserably. Just my luck.
âArum! Stop moping under there and come inside.â Lena leaned on the door frame of the front door with a teasing smile.
âIâm not moping! Iâm- uh- brooding. Thatâs what Iâm doing, and all the cool people do it too.â He felt himself smile, his aunt always knew how to make him smile.
âI suppose youâre the exception to that?â Arum gasped in mock offense, while Selena continued, âNow, come inside before you get soaked.â He did, barely making it through the doorway before the sky opened up and dumped an oceanâs worth of water down.
âGuess Zeus was waiting for me to get inside.â He laughed a little, when Lena just rolled her eyes.
âI bet youâre his favorite too.â She remarked, voice dripping with sarcasm.
âYouâre so mean to me.â
âIf I was mean, I wouldnât have made moussaka, with only potatoes, for dinner.â
âYou remembered!â He gasped, just happy she had remembered his absolute hatred for aubergines.
âOf course I did. Youâre my favorite nephew.â
âAww⌠wait a second.â He narrowed his eyes, âIâm your only nephew.â
âExactly, thatâs why youâre my favorite.â Lena said with a sly grin, which turned to laughter at Arumâs lamenting.
âNow,â she said, once Arum was finished despairing about his life, âstairs or elevator?â
âHmm, a deathtrap or fire hazard, what amazing choices.â His leg gave a throb of pain, making the decision easy. He walked towards the elevator, âplummeting to my death sounds festive.â
âYouâll be fine, you drama king.â
âYou are so mean to me!!â
âYouâll live.â
âUnless the elevator thinks differently.â
The dull light flickered when they went into it, casting everything in a sickly yellow, and the button for the floor didnât work the first few tries. Selena punched it and the elevator finally lurched to life.
âSo,â Selena started once the elevator doors had closed with a worrying screech, âI never got to meet that girlfriend of yours.â
âHe dumped me.â He watched as her face go through just about every emotion in the span of three seconds.
âOh, oh⌠ohâ The rest of the agonizingly slow ride was awkwardly silent.
After Lena had stopped them from getting soaked in the storm, Ori and Vera played cards on the floor in the middle of the apartment. It was a cozy place, if a little small. There were lots of blankets and pillows for blanket forts and sleepovers. The walls were covered in art work made by Lena's friends and pictures of Ori growing up alongside Vera and Arum.
The air always held the scents of what was cooking (currently: moussaka) and the sounds of the neighbors drifted through the thin walls. Luckily, their next door neighbors were quiet most of the time, and one was a musician. He didnât take requests, much to everyoneâs (mostly Oriâs) disappointment. He could, however, be bribed with cookies to play a song or two.
While Lena was getting Arum, the two kids had devolved into arguing over the card game they made up for a school assignment. Was it technically supposed to be on one of the historical figures they had been learning about? Yes, but the two managed to argue that technically the assignment did not say when the figures had to be from⌠or if they existed.
So, they got to do their project on the myths Selena and Iris, Veraâs mother, would tell them. Arum calls it, âwould you two shut up already. Itâs a game you both made up.â or âwould you stop playing your argument game?â Both of those are too long of a name, but neither of them can come up with a different one, so Arguments: The Game was born.
The door opened to grace the pair of adults to the childrenâs bickering as always.
âHeracles could probably beat Polyphemus! He got the underworld doggie out of the underworld!â Vera declared, placing down the hand drawn card.
âPolyphemus is smart, and I donât think the dog is all that smart.â Ori countered, already getting out their book on myths.
âUM. EXCUSE YOU?! Dogs are so smart! The two dogs I dog sit are so nice and polite and well-trained. Heracles could easily win.â Ori scoffed at that.
âWe never saw him fight a humanoid monster! And Polyphemus is the son of Poseidon!â
âWell, Heracles is the son of Zeus!â
âWell-â Arum cut off Oriâs retort with one of his own.
âVey, Riri, how about we stop yelling at each other and have dinner? Plus, I brought more stickers for you to add to my crutch.â The kids abandoned their game immediately in favor of setting the table.Â
Arum sat by the small shrine with a wince as his knee shrieked in pain, barely lessened by his tail working with his more functional leg to lower him to the ground. As usual, there was a bubble of warmth that eased the pain as Arum whispered his prayers. Conversation drifted past as he got lost in the quiet words he uttered. He didnât know what they meant, but they fit nicely in his mouth.Â
Ori watched him quietly for a while before hesitantly standing and kneeling beside him. They lightly leaned on Arumâs shoulder. Arum wrapped his arm around the younger kid as they sat in a comfortable silence, only broken by Arumâs murmurs and Ori humming along to the rhythm.Â
Selena watched the two of them until Vey's head popped out from behind her chair. "Mama and Papa are making loukoumades for the festival thingy tomorrow! Want me to bring you some?"
"Ooo yes please, your parents make the best in the city!"
"I'll tell them you said that!"
"Ew no, don't let Iris know I like something she makes. Can't let her know I like something she makes."
"Just Papa then?" Selena pondered that before nodding with a smile.
"Acceptable, want to help me finish up dinner?" Vera, instead of responding, just ran over immediately.
"No." She finally replied while already getting out the ingredients for a fairly simple salad.
"How could you?" Lena gasped, mock offended. "I trusted you!" The kid just giggled.

Lore on Earthbound Stars? đ Can be as minor as you want but I'm c u r i o u s
:0 oh i have so much lore! the story is set in a probably fictional city in Greece and the time period is vaguely modern with more tech powered by â¨magic⨠or something. so i guess itâs scifi, they deserve firelight style hoverboards i think. they regard the myths and stuff with a bit of skepticism due to just how long ago they were written, and the creative liberties some people took with the stories once the gods left mortals to their own devices.
idk if irl Greece has mac and cheese, but in my story there is mac and cheese purely so Ori can have it as a favorite food
Just a silly little bit of writing inspired by @aychama's design of Kalamar! (I am @wraith-the-rock, this is just the side blog for writing, lol)
Micah's long ears twitched, catching the sound of his king's footsteps coming from down the hall. He quickly finished folding the towels Fino had asked him to. They had been one of Kallamar's personal servants for far longer than Micah had even worked for the king.
It had been nearly six years since he and his sister, Mera, decided to swap places, her to work for Heket and him, Kallamar. They both were fairly certain that neither ruler had noticed. Being identical twins certainly helped, along with both being trans. They, jokingly, blamed their parents for mixing up who was supposed to be who.
Forcing himself out of his memories, Micah straightened. His tail anxiously swept against the floor. Fino noticed and patted his shoulder. "You're going to do great." They reassured.
"Unless, I say something dumb and get myself executed!"
"That's not going to happen."
"It might!"
"It won't, unless you admit to committing treason."
"Is what Mera and I did-" The axolotlkin cut him off with a raised hand.
"No, focus on your job." Micah nodded and tried to relax. It didn't quite work. He never felt like he fit in, aesthetically at least, with the whole scheme of cooler blues, purples, and sleek shapes and him contrasting as his fluffy, dusty yellow self.
The door opened as the king entered. Micah had never seen so many jewels and fine fabrics on one person. Kallamar looked every bit the regal king, down to the- "top surgery scars?" The words slipped out before Micah realized his mouth was moving. They had been whispered, but the king heard all the same.
"Excuse me?" He asked, turning to face Micah.
"Your highness, I'm sorry for speaking out of turn." He bowed, ears pressed flat in embarrassment.
"Rise." Micah obeyed, straightening to see the king's half hidden smile. "What did you say?"
"Um-" Micah struggled to get his tongue to work right. "Those markings on your chest, are they from top surgery?" A handful of the servants in the room laughed softly, and Kallamar seemed unsurprised by the question.
"Sadly no, they are just gills." He breathed out a laugh. "You are not the first to think that." Oh, good. Micah thought, I don't have to fake my death out of embarrassment. "Though I must ask," Kallamar continued, "how long have you and your sister been pretending to be each other?"
