amrita has a personality extremely well suited to a healer--gentle, compassionate, wants to help/doesn’t want to hurt anyone. she could be great as a warrior, if a somewhat small one--her instincts are to protect and defend, physically if she must, and she’d rather block a blow than deliver one. she’d make an excellent diplomat, even, with her levelheadedness and quick thinking---

yet here she is, a rogue whose primary fighting style is designed to kill or brutally incapacitate, an elven woman without a voice both literally and figuratively, forced to fight for safety, for survival. she will kill to defend someone who cannot defend themselves, but she hates herself a little more for every drop of blood that stains her hands, every life she cannot escape taking

RIGHT I mean, Jyn could have been REALLY GOOD but went pretty quickly from “NOPE I am only here as barely long as required” to “HEY motivational REBELLION SPEECH” like I would have liked to have seen her have a bit more hesitation and actual development into that role??

They really honestly needed to spend about 30 min more on the LIVES of the characters rather than, well, you know.

yes!!!!! oh my god i know it was an action movie or whatever but i wanted so badly to see more of bodhi rook, i wanted to know more about his relationship with galen erso, i would’ve loved to have seen the tipping point that drove him not just to defect but to pick up the torch that would eventually bring down the empire and carry it straight to the resistance. i wanna know how cassian andor found kaytoo and what made him decide to reprogram the droid instead of discarding him or passing him off to someone else--was it practicality or compassion? why is cassian so jaded?
