Damn, I love Solid Snake…
even if the cloning part was an afterthought, it fits so well with his legacy and parallels to Big Boss. His relationships, ways of thinking, and what he fights for are truly admirable… Even though I have some issues with MGS4, It was great that Solid and Big Boss were given an ending to their story as well. I am sad that we didn’t get Big Boss’s decline in full length, but I think as not drastically, we saw those seeds planted in MGS3 and PW
I saw people call Solid boring, but I genuinely don’t get it. What I like most about him is that he listens. He takes what his friends and companions teach him to heart, and over time those experiences become part of the ideals he chooses to live by.
It’s a bit of a rant in response to what I saw on Reddit (should stop looking at that site), but I genuinely like Solid’s struggles and how he holds friends close to his heart, even though he usually hides it under his sarcasm, and how he is really passionate about believing in the world and people fighting for it.
