so many people have said this before but PLEASE for the love of all things can we stop making “chicken nuggets” the default for safe foods & samefoods. I get tired of my samefoods really easily and luckily I have a decent amount on rotation but the majority of them are all East Asian food. yes, I enjoy tater tots and they’re hard to go wrong with. but that’s not my reliable food that I can always go back to.
and I don’t even live in a household that primarily makes Asian food at home. people who have grown up in households where hand rolls were the default instead of mac&cheese are going to have different safe foods.
not every autistic person is your white 5-year-old cousin Timmy. yes, chicken nuggets are a common safe food, but they’re not the end-all-be-all.
bonus: below the cut is the recipe for my go-to when I’m overwhelmed and don’t know what to cook. however, if you’re picky about texture, it may not be for you
Spicy Noodles, Tofu, and Vegetables
Sauce:
1tbsp soy sauce
1tbsp vinegar
1tbsp sesame oil
1tbsp chili oil
1tsp gochujang
3 cloves garlic, minced, or use garlic powder(I measure in vibes, but if you want measurements, I would go with couple shakes/half a tsp)
1 small knob ginger, minced, or use ground ginger, same measurements as the garlic
Main Ingredients(all optional):
1 packet of udon noodles
5 medium sized mushrooms, sliced
half a head of broccoli, cut to preference (I recommend including the stems, they’re great when they’re fried in my opinion)
1 block of firm tofu, cubed
sauce
(this amount of sauce will suffice for 1 block of udon noodles, if you add the tofu and veggies I would recommend tripling it.)
Steps:
Pour oil into a pan
If making noodles, this is the time to place them into the pan and turn it to medium heat. If not, skip to step 6.
Let the noodles begin to break apart
Pour some, but not all, of the sauce onto the noodles to help them break apart
This is the time to add the tofu and veggies. If you didn’t make noodles, just go from here in your original pan. If you did, it will depend on how large your pan is. If you can fit the tofu and veggies, keep going, if not, you can cook the noodles until done(step 10) and then transfer them to a bowl while you cook the rest of the dish.
Place the tofu/veggies in the oil and let sizzle for around a minute. If you have a smaller pan, you may need to add the tofu first, and then the veggies separately afterwards.
Using chopsticks to pick up the tofu cubes, check if the bottoms have begun to darken slightly. Once they have, add the sauce
Turn the cubes over, the tofu is done when a majority of the sides are golden brown.
For the vegetables, let them cook alongside the tofu. The mushrooms should be fine to leave in the entire time(make sure you turn them over as well), but the broccoli may have to be cooked longer or shorter depending on your preference for texture.
Once the noodles are a dark golden brown or beginning to look crispy, they’re done. If you need, you can leave the rest of the food cooking for longer.
I sometimes like to add sesame and edamame on top!
If you didn’t make noodles, or you have leftover tofu & veggies, they go GREAT over rice

ive noticed in a handful of posts where people try to lend their readings of deltarune credibility by saying the rest of the fandom has their heads so far up their own ass they think that gaster will be relevant to the main plot when in order to know anything about him you either have to datamine or look the game up online. which is a blindingly stupid thing to say about the character who talks directly to the player in the very first scene of the game and instantly devalues the reading you are presenting. you literally cannot miss him.
which sucks because deltarune fans at large are in fact very bad at competently interpreting the game. (as is the case with any fandom this large)
seemingly 9/10 times this happens it's with transfem ralsei. and it's really annoying because transfem ralsei does obviously seem to be the way their character is heading and people are very eager to ignore that. It's just not very convincing when you tell people about it and then get basic facts about the very first part of the game wrong in the same sentence.
What even happened on their first meeting. Flowery just pulls up and says 'hey it's me! Your best friend from college!' and Asgores just like 'oh.........yea...👍'
Because flowery knows that shit isn't true so like what was the plan 😭😭😭😭 did he sit asgore down and go 'ok this is your ideal world so that means im going to roleplay as your college BFF '
