For this piece, I imagined Azriel as a merman living in a pond in Elain’s garden, observing the beautiful gardener from afar and falling in love with her secret, lovely beauty. Elain eventually discovers him after he’s been observing her for some time and is just as smitten with him despite the challenges they would face. I loved the idea of a different kind of twist on forbidden love for MerMay/Elriel Month and Andi knew exactly how to capture what I had been envisioning 🌸

Israel bombed the last main fibre route in Gaza, which means that as of June 12, all internet and fixed-line communication services are now completely cut off, further isolating Gaza amidst an ongoing genocide.

Her work always blows us away and she did a phenomenal job bringing the prettiest in Prythian to life 🩷

There's something so beautiful about two people who seem so different on the outside being drawn together so effortlessly. In this piece, we wanted to showcase the beauty created when light and dark blend together.

Elain and Azriel representing light and dark is one of the many reasons they make such a complimentary pair. While Azriel can help Elain embrace the darkness, Elain can show Azriel he's worthy of the light he's craved since he was a young boy trapped in a dark cell.

to find a person who brings so much joy and light to your life that you can finally let your guard down after years of being on the defense- that’s the meaning of belonging. that’s the meaning of home.

having someone who truly sees you, who does not balk from your scars or shadows or darkness, who can both sit in comfortable silence with you or talk with you for hours into the night, someone who makes you laugh harder than your loved ones have seen in ages and brings light back into your eyes, who matches your wit and humor, someone who is the embodiment of the sunshine you were deprived of as a child and have been searching for your entire life.

and with everything this man has went through, i’m so glad he’s found that in elain, wherever their journey may take them from here.
