like, they're sitting maybe about a foot away from each other, so when dave leans over to hug dirk he's either using his core muscles to keep himself at a solid 15-degree angle or his head is resting on dirk's leg, meaning his spine and neck would be bent awkwardly due to gravity. also he's probably putting all of his weight on his left thigh and, depending on his flexibility, his right shoulder is probably straining to bend that far to the left. why didn't he just scoot over a bit
