I really like the detail that every time Ekko rewinds in order to stop Jinx from killing herself, the paint is erased more and more until all we see is just his face. Something about vulnerability in this moment, that Ekko isn't talking to her as an enemy, a Firelight, but as an old friend from childhood. Like he's removing a mask and now able to talk to her on a deeper personal level
With Jinx's short hair and the lack of face paint on Ekko, I think it also visually brings them back to their past bond, before everything went wrong
