Of course! and also what's your problem
Ok well now they're just making up excuses to see me π€‘
I installed a cheat mod just to spawn some OP items and win the harvest festival and then I left those items behind because my real farm ain't much but it's honest work. And I did it just to spite that hateful little gremlin Bobby.
Guys Raj is kinda getting my ass. Maybe a they4they romance is on the table after all ... Cottagecore farmer meets literal coffee shop owner ... Can it get more twee?? Idk we'll see!

obligatory "watsonian discussion of a broader doylistic issue" disclaimer here, but i keep thinking about how awful asgore is and it keeps resulting in me coming to see the sympathetic side of flowery more. it really does seem upon replaying the chapter that asgore is content enough with the flower friends when they're inanimate, but as soon as they start asking things of him and acting like people, he suddenly sees them as imposing on him and what he wants to do. it's ironic, in a sense, because the flowers have so little in the way of wants that don't concern asgore as is. it makes it all the worse when asgore rebukes them at the end of the chapter, only deciding to take care of them again for his own sake. and it reflects poorly on his treatment of the other lightners in his life; dess, who he seems to only preoccupy himself with for his own sake, and who he does not even give the honor of naming in discussing his role in her past; and toriel, who he cannot identify as someone he has treated in a misogynistic manner, as someone he has treated with nothing but entitlement.
My farmer is circling Rafael like a piranha eyeing a piece of meat, meanwhile Pablo is keeps taking them out for totally normal platonic picnics. I did not expect my farmer to become a messy bitch but here we are.
Anyway I forgot you can make OCs in farming sim type games and just ended up making myself so now I'm having to confront the fact that my self-insert gets more action than I could even dream of.
Haha yeah man I could haha ... I could probably ... ahahahah ... yeah man I yeah ... for sure haha I could maybe ummmm uuhhh ... hahah yeah ummm ...
Here's the thing I don't ship Emily/The Outsider because I think it's a good or even compelling ship. I don't think she's developed well enough in DH2 (I love both games but the worldbuilding has always been so much stronger than the character writing I'm sorry) for her to have a compelling dynamic with ANYONE.
BUT. I want to BE Emily and I want to FUCK the Outsider. So that's where I'm at. I have the most lamest milquetoast ship purely for horny power fantasy reasons. Not even brainrot reasons. Doesn't make any sense AND doesn't compel me. And yet. Here I am.

How do I show y'all my wishlist without 1. revealing my steam ID and 2. look like I'm e-begging and 3. writing down the entire list OR screenshotting it page by page.
Like I wanna get a couple of games while they're on sale but idk what to get from my list and would love to hear some opinions!
And yes I know I have a bunch of games I should finish first but shhhhhhhhh don't worry abt that shhhhhh
Narrowed it down! I guess I'm in a colorful crafty mood atm.
Which one should I get? I could get two but that's the max.

yeah fair enough! :3 ty for talking to me abt this
Oh hey, thanks for sending in such a nice ask!
omg your suselle post made me think about something ive been wondering playing chapter 5. while those are really good ideas for their relationship to develop, yeah it IS pretty interesting how potential things they could work through/ways to learn to love each other became a cute lil simple date scene this chapter. here's my take: I reckon it's a scaling thing. those ideas would be really good to gradually develop their relationship in a scenario where dark fountains destroying the world didn't exist and there was more days before the end of the story. But instead noelle and susie confessed to each other at the festival, right before we know the story is gonna pick up and go crazy. I mean, think about it from the perspective of a writer. Why do that? Why not leave the confession until the ending or the epilogue? Yknow? Why do they need to confess Right Now, when technically speaking, their falling in love could have more development as the chapters go on? I think, maybe the stakes are gonna rise crazy high in the upcoming chapters. So maybe any sort of miscommunication arc happening between them, is actually just beginning. Like susie with the ice cream, and setting up the dark world for noelle. Things have been cute and fine and happy between them so far (just like a budding relationship) but it could be that toby is building up this happy relationship just to tear them apart and put them back together with all the crazy stuff set to come in chapters 6 and 7. And he can only tear them apart if they've confessed to each other. Like, I always found it interesting that he chose for a romantic relationship to be at the forefront, connected to one of the main characters (Susie) and I just wonder if he's planning on the romance taking a heavier and more dramatic role in the story, compared to undertale... meh just my thoughts lol
Yeah that's basically what I meant by "is it meant to be cringe on purpose", as in "is this a cartoonishly perfect relationship that's meant to break apart dramatically later for plot reasons?"
Which I assume it is? However, I still think that because it is so poorly set up (imo), it draws attention to the artifice of it, ya know? Like if this is supposed to be genuine and we're meant to be rooting for them, then it's rushed. If it's meant to be a setup for something dramatic to break them up, then it's so blatant it becomes less compelling and more predictable. Either way it's just a really janky, graceless move that feels out of step with how well the story and other relationships are generally portrayed.
But also, he managed to make Susie's arc in chapter 1 feel natural even though the entire thing lasted a few hours and one chapter. Ya know? I really don't think it's a scope/time issue.
Like I personally think that saying Toby Fox is "fetishizing" lesbian relationships is a bit of a bad faith criticism, mainly because he's just not very good at writing straightforward romance in general.
But I do think that like. Suselle could have worked if it was explored a bit more? Like I got the impression that Noelle was attracted to Susie because she was all scary and mean, and Susie (in chapter 2 at least) was almost entirely oblivious and thought Noelle was just acting weird.
I expected that to sort of continue? Maybe Noelle would start to doubt her feelings once she realized Susie was actually very kind and not actually a bad girl, and after a period of disappointment she'd actually get to know Susie and fall in love properly? Instead it's "umm I rly like Susie because she's scary. Oh she's actually super nice and sweet? Well now I like her more!!" Like. Ok. Maybe that tracks with Noelle's whole "I like scary things because at the end of the day I'm still safe". Understandable I guess but not very compelling?? It's just a completely straightforward journey in a game that's so tangled up that untangling it is the main reason people are obsessed with it. I can't even call it character development because it's just ... not?
And I thought Susie would be confronted with Noelle's feelings and friendzone her initially because like? What do you mean somebody LIKE LIKES her? Her?? The popular good girl likes her for some reason?? She thought she was just acting weird but now she's dropped a bombshell on her out of nowhere? So Susie would be confused initially but then slowly maybe warm up to the idea? You mean to tell me she still struggled with being seen as the "hero" all the way until chapter 4, but accepted that she could be a romantic interest to the popular girl in, what, two chapters max?
It's like we skipped several steps and we're still expected to find this cute and perfect just because they're both a little awkward about their suddenly mutual crushes?
Idk man. I really wanted to like Suselle but from chapter 2 I thought it was cringe on purpose, and now it's like. Is it? Are we still cringe on purpose to make a point later? Or am I genuinely supposed to find this compelling and root for it? Cuz I'm sorry "wouldn't this be cute?" isn't enough of a motivation for me to like a pairing.

Ya know I just don't think Toby Fox is very good at writing romance intentionally.
Guys it's actually really problematic if you don't like Spamton or think that it's annoying/sad that the fandom and Toby Fox obsess with him so much that he's blotting out the sun and the tags are filled with content of him and the TV.
Spamton is actually umm uhhh, mentally ill, physically disabled, has a speech impediment, religious psychosis AND religious trauma, PTSD, he's short, homeless, and has no medical care due to government negligence, and is a survivor of physical and sexual abuse. So it's actually really classist if you don't like him, and shows your prejudice against all of those groups.
