it’s never a normal temperature anymore it’s always some fucking bullshit
can i come to your house and make you know some information
imagine being a bird watching hot ones. you'd be like "wtf is 'hot sauce,' peppers don't do that" bc you don't have the neural receptors that cause a burning sensation if your tissues come in contact with capsaicin; you can stick your whole head in a ghost pepper no problem, so you'd think, wow these bald apes are full of shit they are faking a whole big physiological response to normal food for entertainment. weird. and then you'd be like wait, what are they eating? what are they eating?

Protect California's coasts!
No matter where you live, you can speak up and take action now to protect the coast of California from offshore drilling.
The Trump administration's plan for new offshore oil and gas drilling in federal waters is expected any day. If finalized, drilling could begin off the California coast as soon as next year.
We need you—our Aquarium Tumblr community—to act right now.
📣 California residents: Tell your lawmakers to vote YES on AB 1448—closing loopholes that let old infrastructure fuel new drilling. Submit by August 3.
📣 Everyone: Tell NOAA to keep California's coastal protections strong. NOAA needs to hear from everyone who loves the California coast, no matter where you live. Public comments are due August 22.
Our coast can't wait. Take action now:
Take two actions to stop federal offshore drilling off California's coast.
Today's wasp of the day is Leucospis affinis!

Have you ever unfurled a paperclip to reach into a narrow hole? Now did that hole happen to be the nest of a tiny mason wasp? Or perhaps the nest of some other megachilid bee such as resin or leafcutter bee? And your paperclip is actually your biological structure for laying eggs? If you came across a wasp using a hollow reed as a nest, much like those aforementioned bees would, would you also use your paperclip lance to lay eggs in that too even though researchers are unsure that's a viable host your babies can live off of?
If so, you might just be this wasp. Or you could just have OCD.
