What date is your surgery booked for? Depending on what your course is and if you’re moving house etc, it might be manageable. I’d say for forearm phallo 6/7 weeks is where you start to feel more able to do things for yourself and be healed enough to do so. As long as everything heals well and there are no complications. If you’re concerned it might be wise to contact your university to explain you’re having to have surgery (they don’t need to know what for) and could you either start a month later if needed and have some 1 to 1 catch up sessions with a tutor. Or start at the start of term but take it easy, have help and if you can, do assignments at home whilst recovering.

I never personally tried penetration with mine. But I would say yes due to growth on T. It can grow anything from 1inch to 3/4inches!

It is yes, I don’t post very often as there isn’t much to post about these days! But I check in now and again to answer questions, and update!

During the second stage of phalloplasty, surgeons remove the skin around the clit and literally bury it within your groin - connecting nerves to your penis. It sits just at the base of the penis/very top of your scrotum, but is not visible in any way.

Surgeons took skin grafts from under each buttock to replace the skin on my forearm for phalloplasty. They do this instead of taking it from the thigh as it leaves less visible scarring.

You may need help dressing, but loose/baggy clothing is best and easier to dress yourself in. Things like reaching up for something is a no-go for a while. If you want to be as independent as possible post op, prepare your home/surroundings in advance - pre cook meals and freeze them, then just whack them in the microwave when you want to eat. Make sure anything you may need from cupboards/shelves are within reach and move them lower down. I bought myself a grabber stick to help pick things up from the floor if I dropped them, and also helped me put my own socks on. Top surgery is manageable without much help, but don’t be afraid to ask for help if you do need it!  

No, if you’re not born with a prostate you will never have one. It’s something only cis males have.

It’s a very personal choice and I think if you’re undecided you need to weigh up the pro’s and con’s and what would matter more to you :)

About 10 weeks? I left them off whilst at home during the day around the 9th/10th week to help dry out the scabs. But kept them on for protection until I had no open/moist areas :)

If you’re gettnig cabin fever, even just a wander around the garden can help! Or if you have a friend or relative that can drive, take a pillow and sit in the car with the window down for some fresh air and a change of scenery! It did me wonders just to take a 30 min car ride and feel like I’d actually done something and been somewhere! Even if you don’t get out the car :)

I just kept myself busy - focused on uni/work, threw myself into my hobbies etc. I found that reading other peoples blogs/experiences on phallo helped to keep me prepared so when the date finally came around I felt ready for it. It will go a lot quicker than you think it will!
