I'm fascinated by how the animators for TADC handle Caine's impossible anatomy so well. There's so much to balance and they've somehow engineered a solution for his expressions to hold during speech.

The bet happens in every universe it can. Stan's gotta have some kind of secret after all.

Emma-Mays like the weird aunt you see at family get togethers that remembers you but you've barely talked to. Like I've said before, she's more inclined to pursing science then trying to bond outside of designated family bonding times, so she doesn't really go out of her way to hang out with the younger twins. Not that she doesn't care in her own strange Emma-May way, but it's not a traditional sort of relationship.

Mostly her idea of bonding with them is like her idea of bonding with Stan in the cat stan shorts. She gets into a project, gets struck with 'I need to show this to someone' then kidnaps the twins to do that. Dipper is freaking out at this old lady jumping them, while Mabel is freaking out before she remembers they know Emma-May and this must be some kind of old lady field trip. Since Emma-May is on lock down mode and explaining nothing, mabels left to come up with where they're going, listing more and more normal old lady hobbies while dippers screaming and Emma-May is booking it through the woods.

Then they get dragged into her secret secret secret lab that this one for sure no one knows about! And get shown whatever crime against the natural order she's working on and she starts talking non stop about whatever horror is one movie cliche away from escaping. Just info dumps about whatever while the twins get shown around and point out all the obvious flaws to her project, such as the movie cliche waiting to happen. The cliche then happens, and they're running away from her homemade horror monster while she laments about this happening 'again'.

When everything's settled they sit her down and tell her to get better old lady hobbies, and Mabel eagerly attempts to teach her crochet or knitting. This ultimately fails, as the call of science leads Emma-May to designing some kind of yarn creature and missing the point they were trying to teach entirely. She considers both incidents successful bonding activities, then disappears for a month without talking to either.

Ford probably knows that Stan isn’t in fact his twin brother or he never had a twin, but he’s somehow adopting this man who looks like him, anyways. Besides Stan is probably an anomaly.

Stan: Ford, there is something I must tell you, please don’t freak out

Og cat now human Stan convices Ford he's his twin for maybe a week after he passes all the human tests before Fiddleford rolls up and just pokes holes into Stan's entire fake backstory and the fact that he actually doesn't know how to be human or what humans do.

Fiddleford: where did you say you grew up?

Stan, who was a cat a month ago and did not care to know places names: uh, the beach.

Fiddleford: what's the name of the town.

Stan, sweating: beachtown

Fiddleford: and your adoptive parents?

Stan: mom and dad

Fiddleford: and what do they look like?

Stan, who did not think of any of these details because Ford did not think to ask: human people?

Fiddleford: I see, and what's your favorite human food and non human food

Stan, falling for the trap like a sucker: sandwiches and the little treats from the shake bag. The bag that people shake, and then I show up and they give me some. What're those called?
