I'm an inspiring artist, (not that good yet) but your art is something that inspires me, it's so pretty, if I could, I would love to have a similar style.

I have a lot of different references! I grew up looking up to deviantArt artists and manga artists, so I always studied their style and tried to incorporate it in my own artworks. I used to draw on notebooks, and dabbled a bit in colored pencils, watercolors, guache and acrylics. (I really wanted copics but never got to it 🤣)

Later on, when instagram became a bigger platform, I drove a lot of inspiration from artists in there (people like heikala, meyoco, loish, picolo, and soooo many more) ! Nowadays I feel like my references are all over the place, and my style is ever mutating and inconsistent as I play around.

I honestly don't think you need to think much about your style, just let it develop naturally! Today you may think my art is cool, and in 10 years from now it might look uninteresting to you! I advise you to just take one step at the time and experiment with what speaks to you!

Its not about materials or programs, it's what works for you and your goals! I only ever drew stuff that I loved and my learning pace was very very slow, because I didn't stick to essentials that much and just wanted to have fun 🤣

Usually the thing people say they like about my art style are my colors, so assuming that's something you would like to learn from? I would suggest finding tutorials on youtube and so 🧐 I also have a bunch of live-painting streams I made on insta reels and have tutorials on my highlights, so you can check those out if it interests you! I do think you shouldn't stick to one artist to find your references! For hellaverse, some of the artists I really look up to are 0cha3 on bluesky (very beautiful lines and black/white work), kstoooone on twt (beautiful colors, charming style, very very skilled) and kanomareki (impecable rendering and shading)!
