I have seen A LOT of people getting a wave of age verfication in their countries on here within the past few days.

Reminder DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR PRIVATE INFO! This age verfication is a huge security risk!

Why?

- We do not know where that info is really going since they give a vague answer. (Persona was literally caught running it through a government database. Yep! You heard me right!)

- There could be a data breach, and whoops now that info is in the hands of a stranger on the dark web or someone else. That is incredibly dangerous.

- Age verfication breaks multiple laws in different countries. Why are we participating in systems that don't uphold their countries laws!

- These laws affect marginalized people the most. Lgbtq+, POC, women, people with mental health issues, people who are disabled, people who have any medical conditions, immigrants, homeless people, etc. Anyone who is marginalized is severely affected.

- These encourages censorship of information and free speech on the internet. Information should be free to find. It is the responsibility of the parent to watch what their kids are doing on the internet!

- These laws are authoritarian and also encourage facism to take hold. We do not want to give them a foot hold! This will encourage them to do more awful actions if they see we are not fighting!
