Maybe you're a fandom lurker peeping the fan content without any context to save your life. Or maybe you're revisiting the series out of childhood nostalgia and are totally lost on what the hell is going on in the fandom and what people are freaking out about today. Or maybe you're looking into more aspects of the fandom after having stuck to one corner and you dunno where to start.
Or maybe you're just a fandom veteran who peeped this post and am curious as to what the hell I'm on about that's valid too--
Well buddy do I have something to remedy that for you :D
Presenting an intro guide to Geronimo Stilton, with all the basics you need to get the gist of what's going on :D
Geronimo Stilton 101 for Dummies by E Adlirez, aka E
This not only gives deets on everything the (English) franchise has to offer, but also can be viewed for very specific aspects of the fandom if you want or need certain info :3

they won't tell you this in therapy but sometimes the best way to stop catastrophizing/anxiety is to interrupt your spiraling with "girl what the hell are you talking about"

you have to forgive the printer because it's one of the most machine-ass machines we interact with on a day to day basis. that thing says kerchunk. hardly anything says kerchunk these days. you can't get mad at her when she kerchunks up a little.
not every mutual fits neatly into an archetypal medievalism but there are some mutuals that im like yeah addressing you as “my liege” would come strangely naturally

Lemme see how fast it will take to fry your brain from all the thinking
SPN questions:
1. I assume that the Thea Sisters finding out what truly happened based on the court case files (that are inevitably released or received) will lead to a massive conflict with SP! Thea (either discharged or still at the hospital), especially with how she treated Benjamin. Based on what I have read (and apparently there is more lore of the girlies in the non-English books), each mouselet has varying family dynamics or situations (e.g. Violet's parents traveling a lot and not having a lot of time spent as a family, and Paulina and Maria's parents being Mia since they were extremely young), can you give hints or even explicitly share how visceral the reaction or confrontation would be for each Thea Sister?
2. Would they still have their group name be the Thea Sisters even? As in for the sake of appearances/knowing there are young mouslings that admire them.
3. I found that you made an SP! Violet AU where she essentially experiences total ostrization and isolation after cracking the code so to speak about the Stiltons and Geronimo. In SPN, will something similar happen, except toward ALL the girls? Will it be a tragic ending for them (I hope not ;-;)
4. Since the Thea Sisters live for the truth in the context of solving mysteries and problems in general, how would the public, who know them in I suppose a oarasocial sort of way due to the Thea Stilton books, react if the girlies denounce their association with SP! Thea or something similar?
5. Will Geronimo ever be in a situation where he fights the Thea Sisters? (I assume he is Cat Head or the very fact is actually on the nose and I am doubting myself)? What does he think about confronting "the big guns" Thea has called in?
Can be just in general, not specific to any AU:
1. Seeing as the Thea Stilton books include their dynamics, information about them (I am sure with their awareness of it being part of the books), possibly information not even their own families are aware of, how:
a. many parasocial instances have the Thea Sisters experiences as a group, as pairs, or by themselves?
b. What does it feel like to have some personal events or situations published in a very well known book franchise/series?
I bet revealing my identity (or maybe not) that you can't answer 80% of these
Okay you weren’t kidding about the questions :D alrighty lemme see what I can do here
1. It’d be a shock, no doubt. For all of them I’d say it’d feel like a huge betrayal if they learned about the court case files, and it’d probably even undermine the whole reason Thea brought them there in the first place.
2 & 4. It is a really complicated situation. In private they’d definitely distance themselves from the name, but unfortunately “Thea Sisters” is such a memorable name that people outside their circles would probably still call them that. I can imagine them like, if they wanna still make books about their adventures without tying Thea to it, buy the copyright from Thea and then go to another publisher? It’d still be a hassle, though, and no doubt a lot of effort for what’s essentially a passive side gig. Eh, they’re the girls, I’m sure they can get it done :}
5. I mean with Chapter 13 it’s safe to say he is very wary of them. He’d be wholly unsurprised with the idea of Thea bringing in the big guns, but at the same time it not being a surprise is just a minuscule softener for the load that’s ever increasing on his shoulders as it is. Dude’s already got a LOT on his plate, there’s only so much he can handle at a time.
Now for general stuff :D
1a. In the books the most prominent example is honorary Thea Sister Kumi Nakamura, but outside of that, I do imagine that it highly depends on where they are. New Mouse City is the place where they get recognized the most, by a long shot, but they don’t stick around there very often if at all. I like to hc they do visit occasionally (maybe when they have a vacay and they’re too lazy to go super-far abroad or something), but with how infrequently they’re in NMC where they’re most famous, they tend to get jumpscared by their popularity irl haha
1b. I mean they fully consent to it (and they’re the ones who compile their adventures and send their manuscripts to Thea to publish), so I think they’re totally fine with it. I can imagine that sometimes getting recognized comes as a jumpscare to them, and they may have mixed feelings about their fame; but if nothing else, the royalties they get from it is a nice source of passive income, and their name is put out there for their careers’ benefits :}
(For those who've watched the rest of the films, no spoilers for Parabellum and Chapter 4 please! I haven't seen them yet.)
So this bit where Santino d'Antonio is talking to Winston about the completed marker, right? See the statue behind Winston, the one bathed in blue?
And as the scene progresses, Santino leans forward so it's on his side of the shot, only to fall away from it as soon as he leans back, having completed the marker he originally bound John to?
That statue, identified by the many arms sticking out (as well as the lotus platform the deity is standing on), is the bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara, also known as Guanyin in Chinese Buddhism.
The bodhisattva of mercy and compassion.
Something something John through his signature blue light being associated with a deity of mercy and kindness. Guanyin is one of if not THE most well-known and worshipped Buddhist deity, because Guanyin extends compassion and mercy to everyone. That's why she has so many arms-- the Buddha gave her a thousand when she tried to reach to every cry of help she could hear and shattered her two regular arms into a thousand pieces from the strain (prior to this her head tore apart into eleven fragments from the strain of trying to respond to every single call for help she could hear in every direction, thus she was given eleven heads that could look in every direction).
If we're gonna tie Guanyin to John, John is the absolute opposite of mercy, but he is in a weird way fitting as a connection. John is so skilled at his craft he may as well have a thousand hands able to kill anyone he so desires or needs, but he left this life of murder behind him when he married Helen, offering a form of mercy to the entire world. To use Buddhist terms, he's achieved enlightenment and has ascended to a higher state of being by leaving behind an endless cycle of life, death and murder (samsara).
But then the events of the first movie happen, and he goes on a rampage. How does this tie to Guanyin? Not that much, but hear me out.
In one story of Guanyin's path to enlightenment, she is incarnated as the daughter of a tyrant who tries to decide her life for her (in this case, marrying a super-wealthy guy for obvious marrying-a-super-wealthy-guy reasons). She refuses and offers conditions for her marriage and groom that her dad doesn't like, so he turns her to a servant girl and works her to the bone, making sure her life and living it the way she wants it to is as humanly difficult as possible. Somehow, Guanyin perseveres through all of it, though, and after a bit of her dad being pissy, she dies and is sent to Hell, and after seeing all the suffering going on, unleashes her good karma on the place, completely turning Hell on its head and turning it into a paradise-- a deed the King of Hell kicks her out for lmao. Skipping forward a bit, she eventually becomes a bodhisattva for realsies and is about to ascend to Chinese heaven. However, she's stopped when she hears a call for help and, deciding she can't let that slide, Guanyin chooses to stay on Earth until all suffering goes away.
Now John was the underling of a Russian Mafia boss (Viggo), and was given an impossible task he has to fill in order to live his life on his own terms, which he fills. He successfully achieves enlightenment and ascends to live life with Helen, but then Helen dies, and before he can even begin to process it, Iosef Tarasov does a Iosef Tarasov, and John faces the gates of Hell and destroys it with his bare hands while putting an end to Viggo's empire. One could even argue that the shit Viggo pulls to try to futilely save Iosef can draw parallel to the trials Guanyin is put through in her mortal life-- Viggo loads the Red Circle up with a shit-ton of guards to protect Iosef from John and thus giving John a ridiculous body count to mow through, Guanyin is forced into doing servant's labor escalated to the level of basically putting a single clerk in charge of an entire supermarket's facilities but doesn't give up in spite of such brutal conditions. Viggo gets Perkins to break Continental rules just to kill John (which doesn't work), Guanyin's tyrant dad tries to burn the monastery she was staying in to kill her and it doesn't work. Viggo puts a goddamn bounty on his head which John is able to get him to call off, Guanyin's dad sentences her to death but the executioner literally finds it impossible to kill her (that is, until she technically lets him kill her) and even then in some versions of her story she doesn't even die but is sent somewhere far and her dad thinks the deed is done.
And then we get to the second movie and how John operates here.
Before being held up to a favor by Santino, John offers mercy to Abram Tarasov. Again, Guanyin is the goddess of mercy, and John offers this mercy even after his goons spent five whole minutes trying to run him over and kill him. In the end, Abram erh, marginally accepts and respects this mercy, and John keeps his word on it (as far as I know anyway, I've not seen Chapter 3 and 4 yet). But then as he tries to rest and fully return to the peace he has regained for himself, Santino shows up at his door to cash in his favor.
Now I'm gonna fast forward quite a bit to when Santino tries to kill John after his assassination job is done, and puts a massive bounty on his head. You'd think that this is where the Guanyin analogy ends (if it didn't one entire John Wick Chapter 2 ago lmao), but uh not quite :D
Because you see, while Guanyin is a merciful bodhisattva of compassion, one thing that must be remembered is that you do NOT exploit Guanyin's mercy, or even underestimate her. Whatever you do, do NOT fuck with Guanyin.
Red Boy would know.
(Images from Overly Sarcastic Productions' Journey to the West video)
The Tarasovs would know, the living and dead, and Winston would know, too! "You stabbed the Devil in the back and forced him back into the life that he had just left. You incinerated the priest's temple, burned it to the ground. He had a glimpse of the other side and he embraced it, but you, Santino d'Antonio, took that away from him. He came back for love, not for you. And now he's coming again. He did tell you not to do this. He did warn you."
Santino just committed the worst form of sacrilege against the goddess of mercy. With the completion of the mark, her favor or even protection has completely left him, and John, unbound, is more than free to go after Santino, and go after him he does. No matter what he does to prolong his life, mercy has forsaken him, and John even resorts to breaking Continental rules to kill him. Not even the unconditional mercy of Continental can save Santino, now that he's slighted John Wick and forsaken what mercy he could've possibly been given.
He could've just walked away. He could've just shaken hands and quietly thanked John for his service, maybe make a pretend effort to hunt down the one who did this to his sister, and prayed on the off-chance (and a generous payment of gold) that John would be satisfied enough to just leave him be. He could've tried to at the very least build some rapport with John after causing him the trouble. Some may say that Santino's fate was sealed the moment he burned John's house; I say his fate was sealed the moment he gave Ares (the badass mute assassin, also haha funni mythological name) the order to also kill him, with the nail in the coffin being the bounty that was oh so clearly set by him. Sure, the High Table probably would've gone after John either way, since John's mission was a bloodbath that definitely had the goss about spread like wildfire; but in his grasp for power, Santino made the mistake of thinking that a loose end like John Wick could've been taken care of with a simple "eh just kill him", and he made the mistake of standing up tall and proud at the High Table, giving John a very convenient head to shoot.
In other words, skill issue, Santino. Maybe John would've gone for you no matter what you did, but you could've at least pretended to not put a target on your back to prolong what little bit of your lifespan was left after cashing in that marker. I would argue cashing it in in the first place fucked you over, but even if not that, come on dude, you did NOT think this through.
ESPECIALLY SINCE THE TARASOV EMPIRE'S FALL AND COLLAPSE LITERALLY JUST HAPPENED LIKE DUDE DID YOU LIVE UNDER A ROCK AND/OR DECIDE TO JUST NOT LEARN FROM HISTORY???
For a slowly building fanfic community that is the Thea Sisters, what're some tropes / types of fanfic you'd love to see more from the fandom on AO3?
I can never say no to angst/AUs, we need more AU shenanigans, and we need more blenders :} I like blenders, but I'm just one phantom with one blender
And in general in the fandom, I think people want more gayasses haha, I haven't written a lot of them because I don't trust myself with being able to intentionally capture those feelings, but romantic ships are part of a healthy fandom ecosystem and we need that stat
... Come to think of it I don't think we have a single coffee shop AU yet--
Hmmm.... Is this a challenge to make more Geronimo Stilton/Thea Sisters AUs? Because I'm probably gonna make like 31 of them in August or June if I get too impatient. I saw this AU-gust 2020 prompt which seems fun to do even though I'm months too early and years too late. Either way I might make a lot of Geronimo Stilton AUs starting on June but I don't think it will be easy. And yes we need more coffee shop and flower shop AUs in my opinion. Can't wait to start making more AUs for the Geronimo Stilton and Thea Sisters fandom tomorrow.
I don't know who made this and I don't have X so I'll just credit it to X or @AU_gust_2020.
Fics are always a challenge, but not in like a Herculean challenge kind of way. Every fic is different, but the one throughline is they can take a while to make, that much I can confirm. I'm only one person, so there's only so much I can do or fixate on, and sometimes life gets in the way, or sometimes an idea dies (as in you lose motivation to work on it) before it's fully formed and written. Writing is a very time-consuming step on its own, after all, and the nitty-gritty of it only adds to that
But more people working on stuff just means more fandom content, so by all means write something down! Put it on AO3! The first try may not be good or you may look at it in hindsight and question why you ever put that out, but the bright side is you can only get better from there ^^

So I have a handful of longfic projects I’ve been working on for years, and I go back and forth between them all the time like nobody’s business. Problem is jumping between projects means an equally little amount of progress added to all of them, and I really wanna get them done. Other problem is I’m indecisive as fuck ‘:D
So I want you to help me decide which one I hypothetically lock in on :D
Which do you wanna see first?

What you get under the cut:
A Squire’s First Adventure in the Kingdom of Fantasy
- My KoF fan adventure, where after an unexpected hangup, Violet finds herself having to save the Kingdom of Fantasy by filling in as the squire of the Knight of the Treasured Gemstones, He Who Bears the Elven Key, the Twelfth Knight, the Knight of the Silver Rose, the Ambassador of Happiness, the Knight With No Flaw Nor Fear, Geronimo Stilton :}
Crystal Fairies Rewrite
- You know that one special edition book? The one I despise almost every bit of with a burning passion? The one I’ve ragged on for more than one post? I overhauled it. All of it. The shitty worldbuilding, the mid characters, the godawful writing— basically the only big thing I kept was the narrative hook and some miscellaneous bits and bobs. You’re basically walking into a new story with this one haha
How Your Garden Grows
- A soft Land of Flowers rewrite where their chill vibey time is turned into a stressful Odyssey of traps and weird foliage, and Violet contracts a flower curse that puts a timer on their mission that’s already constantly cramming things between them and the goalpost. Can they finish the mission and find a cure in time?
WARNING: This one contains whump

- You heard me, I need to be able to see the results of the poll without having to do math to figure out the ratio minus me, so no touchy >:[
Yo! Imagine my surprise when I realize that majority of the fanfic I have read during my binge reading of TS came from you. Not only that, but you're the author of the Shattered Pacifist! Was reading the sequel to it when I decided to check out the original, and I had to double check the auther name and the fanfic title back and forth repeatedly because "There is no way this was the fanfic I read in 2025 that had me think I was reading a fever dream" (I only read the few TS books I had, and the premise intrigued me and I needed to read somethingto de-stress during the last stretch of my last semester at the time) I knew Geronimo was more of an indoors mouse but wow, I didn't know the family dynamics was that crazy (in a good whacky way? Don't know how to explain) I unfortunately ended up skimming at the end because I went back to finishing a project after a brief read.
I would say more, but WOW! I have so many questions to ask you about Shattered Pacifist Noir and if you can reveal anything juicy. That being said, I'm inspired to make a comic panel of one of the scenes in the fanfic. Would that be okay with you? You successfully managed to lock me into reading the one series that I finally have time to read that I couldn't have when I was younger! Had me clawing through every post when I realized you might have a list of all the books XD
OH MY GOD?
First of all, huge honor that I was a significant part of your TS fic list haha. I'm glad you liked my fics ^^! I am lowkey curious now about what other fics you read from me back then, I didn't post super-often but the catalogue I've built up for myself is quite the sizeable one /lh /nf
Clarification, I only wrote Noir, credits to the original Shattered Pacifist goes to @yaminobean, but ask away! I'll be more than happy to pick and choose the questions I can answer atm haha
And oh my god it'd be an honor to see a scene in SPN drawn by someone who isn't me, please do ping me if and when you post it, I'd love to see it ^^
