“Life, uh, uh, finds a way,” Joker… joked. His gaze had landed on the woman in question and had barely wavered since then.
“Okay, then, Lizard Man. Stand back and watch how the humans do it. — Seriously, stand back, I don’t want to have to walk around you. That’s a detour I can’t afford,” he said as he shook out his muscles, almost as if he were preparing for some violent physical confrontation. Battle.
He hobbled walked over to the lady, leaned against her table and began chatting. Though the conversation ended rather abruptly as a Turian immediately joined her. Nervous laughter shook the pilot before hands came up in a defensive posture. That did nothing to quell the insulted anger of the Turian.
“Errr, uh, Thane, buddy. Gonna need an extraction here — hey, man, no touching,” Joker spat out as what he now presumed to be the woman’s boyfriend grabbed at his collar.
Thane did indeed stand back, leaning against the counter as he watched Joker make his move. He had to admit - he was rather amused by this whole ordeal - all because the both of them found a human woman to be aesthetically appealing.
A Turian caught his attention for a movement - he noted that the Turian’s posture was definitely that of aggression. It took no more than a few moments of watching the Turian approach for Thane to realize what was happening. Within a second, he was up and headed for the trio, quietly recalling to himself the Turian weaknesses.
As the Turian’s claws approached Joker’s personal space, Thane stepped beside him and grabbed at the aggressor, grip tight and unyielding.
“Sir,” He started, pushing the Turian with gentle force, away from Joker. “I would suggest that you calm down. My friend here meant no harm - he was simply demonstrating human interaction.” His thumb found a pressure point on the Turian’s wrist and he barely pushed against it.
“Let us leave without another word.”
