I think the twewy series is utterly ripe for autistic reads of its characters for lots of reasons but one of the ones I find very fun is how often characters are given "special interests" that reflect on or help them cope with their social shortcomings-- Neku being obsessed with graffiti and street art and misunderstanding his favorite artists philosophy, looking to CAT for guidance without accepting the nuance of the statements, Sho viewing the world as numbers and being obsessed with math to show how he rationalizes his individualism, Susukichi's obsession with Reversi and it's connection to his black and white view of the world, Nagi loving EleStra and using it as a vehicle to connect with people and understand them through their interactions with her favorite character.... It's genuinely so good bc being that obsessed with something literally does embed it into your personality!
