Klimun freed the slave, who was named Gerosthenes, and told him he could go home. But Gerosthenes’s family was long dead, and there was no home for him to go to. He was grateful to Klimun for his life as well as for his freedom, and he said he would stay and serve the prince for the rest of his life. “And that is different from being a slave in what way?” Eugenides asked. “I think the difference lies in the choice,” Phresine said gently.

I recently went to a tech fest, and although it wasn't as fun as the last time, the experience was still pretty good for an entirely different reason.
On my way home I traveled alone as my friend decided to go clubbing after the fest. The experience of taking a route I had taken only once before with a group of friends and this time taking it alone was different.
On my way back, I pretended I was in a different country traveling solo and exploring another place. I guess somewhere I wanted to prove it to myself that, I could do it alone.
Walking towards the bus stop. Done with my Computer Networks exam, gotta prepare for the next paper viz. Web Computing.
Show name: Criminal Minds
This was the show that ignited my passion for detective mystery-solving dramas and novels.
Let me know if you have any such series, drama or novel that is your absolute favorite! 😄

So yesterday night, I randomly got the YouTube recommendation to watch this anime, it looked interesting enough so I decided to do a movie night and enjoy this anime.
Being a computer science student, the plot of this anime was very relatable and all the more interesting to me. Although the plot was obviously predictable and filled with cliches, I didn't mind. Sometimes cliches are just what you need.
Later in the evening, I started studying the AI Subject (I have end sem coming soon so gotta prepare). Currently, I'm studying Uninformed Search Techniques. I plan to finish this chapter today. Let's see how it goes.
Hasta la Vista!

Sat by the balcony to get some much-needed sunlight.
While having breakfast, I listened to the Think Fast, Talk Smart podcast, in which one of the questions that piqued my interest was:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How do I deal with being interrupted?
1. If you know you are gonna be interrupted: Set some expectations.
If you know that your topic is complex or lengthy then let your audience know, that XYZ is going to be discussed further in the presentation. You can convey the message using something like:
"There are a lot of different pieces to this explanation, and the topic you mentioned in your questioned is discussed further along so please bear with me."
2. The clever way: Pretend to ask a question.
As the interrupter talks on, cut in by saying, "Can I ask you a question?" That will likely cause the person to pause the interruption because people who are holding forth usually love answering questions.
Now that you have the floor again, don't ask a question. Return to your original point instead. You can disguise it as a question by preceding it with, "Do you realize that ... " or a similar phrase.
3. The straight way: Or the rude way
"Hang on a sec, let me just finish this thought."
"If you would just let me finish!"
"Let me finish!"
4. If you do have to interrupt then go with something like this
"I'm sorry to interrupt...."
or
"Forgive me for interrupting, but I just need to stop you because there is just something that's not quite making sense to me and I don't want to lose it."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some of the tips from the podcast and from my own googling have been mentioned above along with the links to the actual article mentioned below.

so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god
okay so i just got my dream job??? a week after applying to it?? and now i’m thinking….maybe this is the good luck post
All I wanna say is that I got a shitty grade when I was in college because of my depression, anxiety issues and the bullies I was dealing with but I still got my dream university to continue my further study. I wanna spread luck!
Well, let’s try this then....!

One Hundred Love Sonnets: XVII
BY PABLO NERUDA
I don’t love you as if you were a rose of salt, topaz,
or arrow of carnations that propagate fire:
I love you as one loves certain obscure things,
secretly, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that doesn’t bloom but carries
the light of those flowers, hidden, within itself,
and thanks to your love the tight aroma that arose
from the earth lives dimly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where,
I love you directly without problems or pride:
I love you like this because I don’t know any other way to love,
except in this form in which I am not nor are you,
so close that your hand upon my chest is mine,
so close that your eyes close with my dreams.
yes i am smart. yes i am stupid. it’s called being flexible.
Yep! Exactly! You summed me up pretty well! 😉👍
