1.Always get in and out of a car elegantly. When approaching the door, stand with your butt facing the seat. Get your legs together, bend your knees and sit before sliding your legs into the car. Never spread your legs or jump in and out of a car. When leaving a car, wait for him to get the door, keep your knees together and slide them out first before leading over and standing up. 2. Have a basic knowledge of the expensive part of town. Know the major streets, landmarks… and most importantly, where the stores are.

3. Work on your penmanship. Write neatly and know how to write in cursive. I’ve actually had an SD who said “Penmanship is how I tell the difference between posers and real money. Poor woman write like toddlers. “

4. Make sure your outfits are worn correctly. Make sure they fit correctly. Iron your clothes. Take care of rips, holes and missing buttons. Don’t mix metals. Make sure your shoes are clean. Don’t wear anything that needs to be adjusted or fixed every few minutes.

5. Understand money. Know the other major currencies and how they relate to the dollar. A Lot of high-end websites list prices in euros or pounds. You should have a close estimate of how much it is in dollars.

6. Start reading the news and understand what’s going on in the world, not just the stuff your friends put on facebook. I like bbc world news, wall street journal, Forbes and the business of fashion.

This tip is aimed at sugar babes who have a certain level of financial security to rely on without working in the sugar bowl.

Don’t ask your Sugar Daddy to reimburse every little thing! Remember you’re trying to come across as an independent woman that doesn’t *need* a man to live this luxurious lifestyle… 

You’ve arrived at the bar early? Buy yourself a drink, better yet get one in for your Daddy too. This not only shows you’re mature and confident, but reassures front of house / bar staff that you’re not on the ‘look out’.

If you’re meeting him in the town / city you live in, there’s no need to ask him to pay your fare. Girl, you’re a grown woman, you should be able to afford an oyster card or a train ticket for a few stops down the line. (Of course he should pay if you’re travelling out of town)

Don’t ask him to pay for your weekly grocery shop at the local supermarket, this should be something you can cover yourself! However there’s nothing too wrong if he wants to take you to nice restaurants or foot the bill for your excursion to Fortnum and Mason’s.

The point is; if you expect him to pay for every little thing you do, he will start to lose interest. He will also see this as a form of control over you. In his eye’s you’d be lost without him - after all, you’re implying you can’t afford a train ticket or basic groceries…

Don’t ever forget this, ladies! I’ve been wanting to say this for a while now, especially to the black and brown aspiring sugar babies. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve gotten down on myself about not receiving the same kind of attention as I know white sugar babies do, or reading through a profile that sounds ideal and then at the end seeing the part that says “Caucasian, Latina, and Asian only - just a PREFERENCE”. 🙄 Don’t give up.

The other thing that I think needs to be said is that I am not conventionally pretty. I did the Big Chop about four months ago and still think that my nose is a little too big for my face (I was told that all the time growing up). But guess what? Every POT date that I’ve been on, I’ve walked away with an arrangement offer. I have been begged for second dates, been promised $150 for a first date and walked away after being given all the cash he had in his wallet, I’m preparing to move into my own studio apartment, paid my mom back all the money I’ve owed her, started saving again, and was able to buy my best friend a really expensive gift that I knew she’d love (lots of tears were shed).
