bunch of headcanons related to food for them bc i have problems. Includes Ocs- Kinda long lmao. Eating disorder mention/implication.
Fox can’t cook. He’s never even slightly had the patience or emotional stability (+maturity) to not start tweaking when it doesn’t cook in 5 seconds. Always ends with something exploding
Falco also can’t cook. Not only is he just not good at it, he’ll always under or overuses ingredients to the point of always ruining the meal. Sometimes he just makes it badly, bro just can’t cook.
Slippy also can’t cook. Yeah, its good they just have the dried out/astronaut stuff- Slippy can’t cook either. For him it’s more of him being too “messy”, clumsily dropping much needed ingredients or just trying to eyeball pouring stuff in and completely messing it up.
Peppy CAN cook. Fairly well, though he mostly sticks to older recipes, but he can make a good meal out of anything. Loves slow cooking things, and somehow manages to add flavor into even the bland artificial meat that Corneria has on it.
Krystal can cook. Peppy taught her, and she used her super cool telepathic powers to zap into bros mind and copy his knowledge on cooking for herself- meaning she can cook because she cooks exactly like him.
Lucy can make very basic meals, as even as a teacher she still eats like a broke college student- which Peppy nags her about the (very few) times he’s on ground.
Bill can’t cook. However, a few friends of his can, and he is actively trying to learn how to cook, but for the most part he just can’t make anything more than mashed potatoes.
Wolf can mostly cook. He’s a grill master, but cooks outside the grill very basically, no added flare or much (any) seasoning, just basic.
Leon can cook well, and bake VERY WELL. He measures everything out systematically, making sure everything is used to its fullest without using to much. He’s mostly experienced in cooking Venomian food (actual food), but can effectively turn ANYTHING edible. Kinda admirable. Don’t ask him where the meat that isn’t labeled in the fridge is from.
Panther is AMAZING at cooking and baking, he uses all the best and fanciest ingredients, and always manages to make at least one person at the table (that hasn’t had said food before) announce that he was an amazing chef.
Pigma can make more than basic meals. Okay- basic meals AND can cook almost anything involving wine or beer as a needed ingredient.
Andrew can’t cook. I mean- what did you expect- i may change bro a LOT in my au but he still won’t be able to cook. Also understands that it is necessary (especially on Venom) but cannot bring himself to skin/cut up an animal.
Caiman can cook. Before and after losing his memory, Caiman always has been very good at cooking- even if the methods and ingredients now are much different. He can almost mix anything and make it work together.
Algy can’t cook- hasn’t tried and never will. In his own words “too tired for that sh-“
Jonah [OC] can’t cook. He knows how to forage, and what foods from a hundred years ago taste like- but bro was frozen when he was 14, 14 and in a mainly female household prior.
Nova [OC] can NOT cook. Burns everything he touches, even if he didn’t purposefully set it on fire this time.
Lola [OC] can cook, basic meals with a little bit of flair. However- she has C(aiman) to cook for Algy, Her, and Dash now and so doesn’t (all her offers to handle it or help are shot down)
Fox doesn’t forget to eat- sometimes he just- can’t. Whether the paranoia decided to kick his ass that day of whether he was “too busy” if someone doesn’t make him eat- he doesn’t. Also near constantly in a state of minor deprivation, due to him trying to “save money” by following the same dietary things Peppy (Herbivore), Slippy (Insectivore) and Falco (Herbivore + Insectivore) have. Peppy has to forcefully make bro consume and buy meat bc Fox (Supposed to be mainly carnivorous omnivore) refuses to otherwise
Falco- it’s complicated. When Zoness was slowly dying, the food sources were the first to rot, and bro did not grow up in any sort of money. Creating a very- harsh environment around food for him. He either refuses to eat, fearing on wasting food and running out of it later on, or eats a LOT at once- fearing of “wasting” it. Typically these are right after each other in a cycle, it’s not good at all. [Peppy has adapted to just placing a good/healthy amount of food out at his seat for meals, if he doesn’t eating it’s “wasting it” but if he does he won’t end up vomiting later] Falco also has food specifically in his room.
Slippy forgets to eat sometimes (autism), so he’ll work all through lunch and dinner but then at 1 am realize he’s hungry and will sneak over to the kitchen to find something to eat- typically Peppy will remind him to actually eat something at the proper times tho.
Peppy, the father figure, eats normally. Sometimes doesn’t as he is “busy” but that’s to be expected, he also makes sure to make everyone else eat.
Krystal, she makes sure she eats. Not only is she always strangely aware of the time, she always tries to make sure she is at fully capacity to help/take care of other people.
Lucy eats, typically it’s a small breakfast and lunch, and only a slightly bigger dinner, but she at least always eats something.
Bill is in the army, THEY make sure guy eats. Although he’s totally willing to give stuff he ain’t eating to somebody else in the canteen if they did a good job that day.
Wolf eats, definitely. Not only does he down a drink almost everyday, he eats. Scarfs food down (hahahaha you could say he *wolfs* it down), almost like he fears it will disappear if he doesn’t. Openly has a snack pile in bros room somewhere, because NOBODY is stupid enough to steal that lmao.
Leon eats when it’s necessary, 1-2 meals a day (unhealthy but still), and also eats fairly quickly. Again, has food hidden in his room for himself specifically even if he doesn’t ever eat it. It is VERY well hidden, Panther has tried.
Panther, eats regularly. Fancily tho, like some 3 forks thing.
Pigma eats a lot, what else am i supposed to assume/say lmao. Although worth noting bro has at least one bottle of alcohol per meal.
Andrew attempts to eat completely elegantly(?). *Cah’mio* however, definitely scarfs things down before it could possibly be taken away (after admiring the colors on it or the packaging) the sudden behavior around food being a key on who exactly it is.
Caiman eats normally, though for some reason (post memory loss) he always is mildly disappointed tasting the blandness of the artificial meat..
Algy eats whatever he is prescribed, to the letter- although HATES taking the f-ing vitamins and pills every day.
Jonah [OC] has an issue with actually eating on time, and dislikes eating before people he likes- but is constantly being reminded/pressured to actually eat something.
Nova [OC] eats normally, one of those skinny people that eat a lot without actually ever gaining weight
Lola [OC] will avoid eating if she’s not reminded. Thankfully she is- but othertimes she will lie to get out of actually eating.
Fox’s are something his mother used to make, long before anything “bad” happened, when he could just be kid and enjoy eating pancakes with his family. Not even because they tasted good or unique, but because of what they represent. Home, comfort, safety.
Falcos are chips, probably spicy and produced from something widespread and found everywhere- meaning the chips themselves are found in stores everywhere.

Peppy likes something from an old, very specific family recipe that he makes all the time when he has ingredients for.
Krystal likes a special kind of fruit, one only grown on her long destroyed home planet.
Lucy adores the same food Peppy does, but while Peppy prefers others to his own and is constantly attempting to get the recipe perfect as it once was, Lucy adores Peppy’s old experimental version.
Bill likes food in general.
Wolf likes whatever non artificial version of steak they have in Lylat
Leon likes the blood of innocents. (Doesn’t have one)
Panther likes a specific recipe the former Panther Caruso used to make for him, which he manages to replicate perfectly and always votes that the others allow him to make that- over and over again.
Pigma again likes all food and beer.
Andrew adores strawberries. No idea how he gets them, no idea why he even tried them in the first place- but bro adores the flavor.
Caiman doesn’t know. He feels like it was something very good and something he adored, but he can’t remember it.
Algy also doesn’t know, mainly bc one of the many things done to bro is that he can’t taste anything.
Jonah (OC) all the foods, drinks, and meals he can never taste again after the species went extinct while he was frozen
