--when you first get her, she takes the role of a berserker (rpg class that can wield battleaxes that fights, her mean girl class is- will do nothing but fight). also possesses a high phys stat. you'd think this means she's weak to magic but no (or even poor at magic usage). but then we have rude buster. dealing more dmg than her standard axe attack.

--speaking of gender presentation, her berserker (or perhaps warrior esque) attire and other classes with high phys stat are known for one thing. they're chiefly assumed by men.

--back to subverted rpg roles we have chapter 4. the warrior girl who wasn't good at healing magic a few chapters prior is now as good as ralsei. and the more you use her heal the better she becomes (even better than ralsei and almost as good as noelle!)

--she isn't the character you control but she does things on her own. she takes your choices away in ch1. twice. she learns ACTS by herself and even implicates ralsei into doing the same in ch2. even takes the power bracelet in ch4's mantle game (legally distinct dragon blazers, which is also an offshoot of something else....)

--gerson calls her The Dragon in ch4. but the moniker isn't treated as a villain's role. which is subversive in the sense that in many fantasy games/media, dragons are the villains of the story. but this time The Dragon is something that brings about drastic change. there's also the Knight vs. Dragon parallels. stasis vs change. despair vs hope.

I wish they would realize that universal healthcare doesn’t mean they HAVE to get healthcare through the state, just that it is there. You can still pay millions of dollars out of pocket for your own treatment at a private hospital.

America actually has terrible healthcare compared to a lot of nations with socialized medicine:

People constantly tell fat folks that they're “promoting obesity.” Whether they're discussing body positivy and/or fat liberation, whether they're filming a grwm, or whether they're (God forbid) posting about food, fat people are constantly met with those kinds of remarks, to the extent that it has lost any original meaning it might've had. It has simply become a cudgel with which to beat fat people out of public life.

Meanwhile, there are upteen billion wellness influencers, fitness coaches, and celebrities pushing the latest fad diets, calorie restriction, and whichever supplements pay them them most, as well as the latest miracle weight loss surgeries, pills and injections. Extreme weight loss is being glorified and disordered eating is being splattered across social media rn, yet the people who are so concerned with fat people and obesity are curiously silent on this. This, in spite of the fact that eating disorders, extreme weight loss and malnutrition also have severe health repercussions, if you survive them at all.

Fat people are told they're “promoting obesity” just for existing, while extreme weight loss is being simultaneously normalised. The double standard is deafening
