we can no longer protect you forever

Me every 3 minutes while watching the new ep: Please let someone finally make the blonde man shut up 😭😭😭😭😭.

Unfortunately, episode 1 felt like a complete mess — mostly Lestat’s chaotic, pretentious monologuing and not much else going on. Tonally, it was incredibly exhausting, and pirate Armand was my only saving grace 😭.

I’m hoping it gets more interesting once we get into the flashbacks, because even though I’ve never been interested in Lestat as a protagonist, the second book still had a few storylines I genuinely liked.

I don't know why they chose to start with such a chaotic patchwork of scenes. I get what tone they were aiming for, but it ended up feeling like a parody of the first two seasons.
