“No” Hank said trying to hide the obvious. Ever since he beat the crap out of that newcomer, the sheriff had been looking for him. He wasn’t sure what would happen. He almost killed him with his bare hands. Well, he didn’t know if he was death. It had been couple of days since he had been hiding in the desert. Far away from Sweetwater.
“Shouldn’t ya be with ya fuh-amily, kiddo?” Hank asked.
Robert shifted his some of his weight over onto his walking stick as he studied the odd man standing in front of him, wondering if he was being honest about not being lost. His mother didn’t like him speaking to strangers, but they would never know and he didn’t want to be rude. “They’re down the hill just over there.” He turned to glance in the direction that he come from and then back to the other man. “We’re on holiday. Tommy and I didn’t want to stay cooped up inside all day. It was getting boring.”
