In late 2014, celebrity photos start dropping. Ilya deletes his texts, his photos, a video he should never have taken. It isn't soon enough.

In July last year I made a lil' post looking back on the past year of drawing, and so I thought I might make on this year too, from July 2025 to July 2026!

I started looking back on this past year of drawing thinking I hadn't made that much, only to realise I've posted as many things as last year - and I've branched out! This past year I've both tried my hand at comic formats and at animations, and I've cursed, grumbled, laughed, had fun and learnt a lot!

My first comic! It's a combination of hand drawn and cleaned up + coloured in CSP - and it's heavily inspired by the lovely @dropthedemiurge who keeps inspiring me to try new things!

My first attempt at a slightly longer animation - including my first attempt at a run cycle! This took me months of working on and off on it, and it's still just the very first bit of a much bigger idea! We'll see if I ever get the time and motivation to make more of it ^^'

All in all, the past year has been one of experimentation and trying new things, be it comics, animation, or just playing around with colour and lineart! I've still got a whole pile of ideas for drawings I'd like to make, so here's to another year of drawing!

Low effort art? Project Hail Mary? Linguistic errors? My three current hyperfixations all in one place?
