In Double Helix, do you think there's any meaning behind post-coma Xiao Chen taking his glasses off when talking to Zhuo Lan, but keeping them on when talking to/having noodles with Lu Feng? I was just wondering if you thought that was intentional, since Lu Feng made it know he likes Xiao Chen without his glasses on. But then he had them on when reuniting with his brother, so I wasn't sure if it was just an oversight? lol

I think the glasses are a call back to the past more than specifically about Lu Feng. They're something from when Yi Chen was more innocent and when he had more hope and dreams and when he was happy, truly happy.

They represent his own relationship with Lu Feng, with the times he spent with his brother, with his family, when life was good and hopeful and he imagined that he would always be able to be happy and not just... trapped where he is.

His glasses are the past and they're hope and they're something Lu Feng liked and they represent his history and his life before all of this.

I think one of the reasons the glasses have returned is because they're starting to fall back into their old ways, back to love but also back to leaving and like... the glasses and the black are the past and the past never really goes away.
