I'm always thinking about the way gender roles and sexual roles and physical traits are entwined in Society to the point where they're seen as synonymous & I'm pulling them apart like twizzlers

(Pulling apart the sections and eating them) submission isn't intrinsically feminine and size is unrelated to gender presentation and body hair isn't intrinsically masculine and penetration isn't equivocal to dominance which isn't equivocal to masculinity and it keeps going around and around like that

People will try to tell you femininity is when someone is small and hairless and submissive and bottoms & masculinity is the exact opposite of that & literally none of this is true. Never forget that none of that is true. That's a series of unrelated statements. These traits only Tend to Correlate because we ourselves expect them to. And the misogyny is really really obvious when you lay it all out like that. I'm pressing a copy of gender trouble by judith butler into your hands

And that's not even getting into how because gender roles are socially constructed they vary across different societies and trying to impose one true version of gender on everyone is a tool of cultural genocide 👍
