More trans hc stuff under cut

Shira is a Turkish trans woman who was the victim of attempted murder by a man on the street who realized she was transfemme. After he stabbed her, dozens of people walked by her on the sidewalk until a teenager stopped and helped her.

Shira is now in the hospital in critical condition. She’s undergone emergency surgery and will need multiple operations and long-term care to recover—physically and emotionally.

Shira has no close family nearby, is not accepted by public organizations in Turkey because she is trans, and she’s unable to work while she heals. Her friends are raising funds to cover her medical bills, therapy, and basic living expenses during this painful time.

As of me posting this, the fundraiser has €125 out of a €12k goal. If you can’t give anything to help a trans woman survive a horrific attack, please at least reblog this, set it on your queue, whatever you need to do to make sure others can see and help. Thank you.

1) although yes she's Iranian she's also French. Western Europe outright encourages to strip all of the middle east of being able to have their own agency, we are either the dirty terrorists or the helpless victims who need saving when it comes to our women. But for that we need to be stripped of the orient from us. So if she is french and she isn't super outright against the french government this will be expected.

2) colonialism has fractured our world. And now most are only given two options for us. Either we strip ourselves of our individual autonomy for our societies and governments who demand that we stick only by our national and religious identity, an extreme response to the days of the Europeans taking more and more bits of us from the ottomans (and the ottomans themselves making it worse), that's on the east side, and on the west side we are made to strip our entire identity... Well I was gonna say for our autonomy but even if there is some better "liberties" we get through immigration or whatever, it's kinda hard to have autonomy when you can't even give any reflection on the reality of your existence and act upon it. But you do get it, right? Either you're in a nightmare society that oppresses everyone, or you're in a nightmare society that specifically oppresses you but everyone else seems fine. And given the ever approaching neo-colonialism more and more get attracted to the west side, promises or prosperity and liberty, quite a few of which admittedly fulfilled if you're lucky but even then you'll never be on the same footing.

And so when they do buy into it, they do as the westerners do and discard all of the humanity they had within their oriental side, and thus strip the humanity of the fellow easterners as well. Hence, the Iranian monarchist, the Egyptian ex Muslim, the Lebanese Christian, will cheer for that which destroys the orient.

They will cheer for Israel.

My message to any middle easterners reading this including myself: make your own path. Choose your own true autonomy. Do not strip yourself of any of your identity neither your choices. Choose your religion, leave Islam, rejoin it, stay in it, whatever. Your politics, your hobbies, your found family, your biological family if you want to reconnect, whatever. And defend yourself from anyone anyone who wants you to give up any of it.

The world fractured us, gave us two roads that both flood and make us drown, but we can build a new bridge.
