So for this one i’ve been thinking about this bible quote, “cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days.” 

First thought, you’d probably need to put your bread on a boat for this - no one likes soggy bread. But it’s the second implication that connected it for me. Because you cast your bread upon the waters - you don’t find a hungry person and give it to them, you send it away and hope it finds whoever needs it. You don’t get to see the help. You can’t even be sure you’re helping. But you will find it after many days - the system is in place, the bread is on the waters, we are all our hands and holders, and that way, it’s not charity, it’s just doing.
