“It’s beautiful here.” James said, the stars giving off the only light. The others had already gone back to the campfire. Regulus slipped his shoes off and started to walk in the cool water, “It really is. It’s a shame we won’t stay longer.”

James always thought that beaches at night were magical, but the person he was with had caught his eyes. He heard him hum a song they played earlier. 

From now on. These eyes will not be blinded by the lights. From now on. What's waited 'til tomorrow starts tonight. Tonight. Let this promise in me start. Like an anthem in my heart. From now on. From now on. The song being one that Marlene had picked from a musical movie we all liked.

It starts tonight... “Reg, can I say something stupid?”

He turned to the other man, “Everything you say is stupid but continue.” James laughed softly, slipping his shoes off and joining him in the water. Stepping a bit into his personal space. “James, what are you doing.”

James closed my eyes and sighed, thinking about how to tell him. He took a deeper breath and whispered a few lines of that stupid lovesick song Regulus always plays when he drives. “Would you be so kind, As to fall in love with me? You see, I'm trying I know you know that I like you. But that's not enough so if you will please fall in love.”

Regulus’s breath got stuck in his throat. “I could be you’re crush, like, throw you for a rush, like, hoping you text me so I can tell you, I’ve been thinking about your touch like, Touch, touch, touch, touch, touch. I could your crush, crush, crush, crush, crush.” He smiled at the other, the widest smile James had ever seen on his face.

“Did you just confess to me with that stupid song that Dora likes?” James asked, a smirk playing at his lips.

“You did it first with my favorite song.”
