Just saw the Backrooms Movie and woahza. Im shell-shocked. Its such a lovely letter to the fans. 🥹
Here's some thoughts and theories:
(Spoliers ofc)
->Clark is a narcissist.
He literally views people as furniture and objects. He was beyond a mental case for a therapist but I still believe he always meant well 💔
->Mary's mum was definitely trapped in the backrooms before having mary.
Still not sure what broke down their door during the flashback, maybe child protection services but it felt too ominous to not be an entity.
->Red haired woman is an impression of Clarke's wife.
->Async is a real organisation and I belive all the lore about them in the ending but Mary definitely imagined it all. I know that is kinda common knowledge but yeah.
Also confused on Phil. We see him twice before the ending in the real world and he's never met mary before so how come she knew him in her messed up memory? Could be looking into it too deep.
->wtf was the ending. Genuinely need some help on that.
My only idea so far is that the bacteria that the hasmat people use fend off a bacteria, mary (and clarke) were inhaling it too long and ended up becoming an entity. But that just raises more questions. Is pirate Clarke and the other entities people as well or figments of both mary and Clarke's imagination due to the bacteria? Well, I think red-head and pirate are from Clarkes mind but the other two at the kitchen table were possibly people before and just became entities, like Mary did in the end.
->if my ' entity were originally people once but r now insane and deformed ' is real than I belive whenever an entity moves its when its trying to snap back to reality, back to their former selves.
-> pretty 50/50 about the pirate Clarke theory and how he is the real clarke.
The fact red-head ran before pirate clarke entered the room like she was afraid gave me a notion this could be true (since in reality clarkes ex would fear him due to his issues). Same with when mary stopped in the nook , an arms reach from p.Clarke and just stared at him. Maybe she recognised him? Or some part of his humanity?
Also this theory supports the ' kitchen scene clarke is an impression from the backrooms'. Also 50/50 about that, since than my narcissist theory falls through if that's right.
-> the backrooms is just a living place with dementia lol.
Um, I think that's all I wanted to cover but yeah. The movie was so good. Literally all the character writting and development was divine ! love films that make me think afterwards. 10/10 !
Agree On Most Of This, My Only Disagreements Are On The People Being Turned Into The Entities. I'm Certain That They Are Just The Memories Warped In The Backrooms, And The Final Shot Looking At Entity Mary Is More Symbolic, More Representing That A Part Of Mary's Mind Will Forever Remain Stuck On The Experience She Went Through, While In The Real World Mary Is Perfectly Fine. Well, As Fine As Someone Who Went Through The Backrooms Would Be
i knew when i heard the announcement about the backrooms movie that the general public would severely lack a basic understanding of what it was about because the media literacy in the current day is like . gone . but somehow i'm still impressed by the ways people manage to misinterpret the meaning of both the movie and the wikidot lore (AND THE ORIGINAL POST AT THIS POINT)
as someone who's had the backrooms as a special interest for years and years now, i just like... i don't even know how to describe it
i'm happy other people are starting to get into the thing i like because it means there's more content about it that's really cool, but like . the comments on some of these things.... i have to remind myself that it's not that big of a deal LMAO
i've sat down to personally read the first 150 or so levels of the backrooms wikidot site (plus misc. other levels/entities) AND i've watched through the kane pixels webseries in its entirety at least 3 or 4 different times and i feel like it's really easy to tell that those two things are set in entirely different universes
the fact that people can't seem to tell them apart despite claiming to Know What They're Talking About genuinely baffle me because . clearly you don't know . i am very aware that these people are probably like 12 but they still make me mad
Just Finished The Backrooms Movie :333333333333 Very Delightful :3333333333333333333333 My Only Problem Is That The Beginning Outside Of The Backrooms Was Slow, But That's A Me Problem And I Definitely Think It Was Needed, As The Ending HEAVILY Parallels It And Probs Wouldn't Have Worked As Well If The Beginning Wasn't Slow
I Do Think That Future Watches Of Mine The Beginning Will Be Better, Considering I Now Know The Ending And All The Parallels
10/10 Great Movie Would Recommend
This may be the best book I have ever purchased. It is definitely in the top 10
whAT BOOK IS THIS
To Be or Not to Be by Ryan North. Hamlet as a choose-your-own-adventure book.
I own this book and it’s about 600 pages and it’s ALL this good. You can play as hamlet, Ophelia, or hamlet sr, who is a ghost. You can murder everyone in the play. You can fire yourself out of a cannon and use your uncle as a skateboard. There are dozens of endings and places where you can diverge from canon and do something wacky instead. 10/10 would recommend

I’m kinda surprised that nalbinding isn’t as popular as crochet and knitting tbh because it has an even lower barrier of entry tools wise and unlike crochet and knitting it makes fabric that you can cut.
I guess it’s because it’s slower or something.
Nalbinding aka needle binding is when you use yarn and a big sewing needle to make fabric btw
It also has a lot of different kinds of stitches you can do that make different densities of fabric.
Some people even make rugs.
I feel like part of it might be casual people are generally aware of the existence of crochet and knitting, even if they don’t know very much about either, but have never heard of nalbinding
Yeah I hadn’t heard of it until recently and I ordered a big bone needle for myself to try it out and that should be arriving soon.
I was surprised that I’d never heard of it though. It’s older than knitting and crocheting and even though it’s been done all over the world it’s super relevant to Nordic culture and my grandmother and I are both into keeping in touch with our roots a bit so I’m surprised I’ve never heard of it.
It seems like the sort of thing that would be popular even if not as popular as crocheting and knitting, considering the low barrier of entry.
You also don’t need a bunch of different sized needles for nalbinding or whatever. The size of the stitch is controlled either completely freehand or by pulling it against one of your fingers. Most people who have a lot of nalbinding needles seem to either have tried out wood, bone, and metal ones to see which kind they liked or they enjoy carving wood or bone and like making their own needles as an extra hobby.
It’s also a lot easier to freehand and adjust as you go than crochet or knitting and you mostly go by inches instead of rows and number of stitches so a large number of accessories like stitch markers or whatever isn’t really necessary.
Maybe the lack of accessories also makes it unpopular idk. People do like collecting things in their nests.
I've been wanting to do so, I cannot find anyone who can teach me, and any books I can find on it are Ass in the Visual Learning department. Otherwise I'd be making the hell outta some nalbinded fabric
I found this channel by a nice man who makes up close tutorials
I create videos on YouTube to learn people how to needlebind using two fingers and your thumb. Needlebinding helps people to relax, relieve
@hollowedskin
Ooh thank you for the tag! It is going in my hoard of links and such.
I am fascinated by nalbinding, but I'm also still working on my panic at cutting yarn to do colour changes in crochet (because then I can't undo it and reuse the yarn) so I feel like nalbinding will by necessity have to come after I can cut yarn without crying like, at least 80% of the time.
Ooh thank you for the

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.

Why do we infantilize Bumblebee, esspcially TFONE?
"Oh he's Elita's and Opi's son!"
That is a grown ass man who had a job. Granted. Forced job but a job.
If anyone is the more "mom" one its Bumblebee. He helped D and Orion get out, he thinking walking inna scary cave isn't a good idea, he brought FUCKING SNACKS. He even had to grab Elita to keep her from jumping after Orion, and he wnet to go fight Megatron.
Being talkative and a lil being choatic/silly doesn't equal kids. If anything I think Bee is Older than Dee and Orion maybe a little older than Elita.
An older dude who's been deprived of interaction who now has new friends ♡
merry fuckmas to all who celebrate
this year i have discovered transformers so some bees and tailgate are learning from the master.
i mainly just put rb bee here as an excuse to draw him again i actually dont know much about aligned ive only played wfc+foc DOES NOT COUNT YOU CAN'T MAKE ME and watched s1 of rb. perhaps animated bee would be more fitting but i haven't watch tfa or interacted w the fandom enough to know.
bonus how did b-127 get thru that door not on his own thats for sure.

It’s fascinating hearing how other people think. My dad says he has to think of a full sentence word for word before he says it whereas I don’t know what I’m gonna say until I’ve already said it.
I mostly think in words and sounds so you’d think that I would know the wording of what I’m gonna say before I say it but no almost every single word manifests as I say it.
I know what I’m gonna say but I don’t know exactly what I’m gonna say you know what I mean
I think in full sentences but they’re usually entirely separate from what I’m saying, I also have no idea what I’m going say until I’m saying it
I Think In Words Right Until I Speak, Have To Form Opinions On Something, Or Problem Solve, Then It's Concept Town For Me!
