The Eye didn't use to manifest physically, but now it's everywhere, symbolizing how it rules over other fears, using them. Eyes on and in the ground, eyes covering the insides of the Slaughter victims, too many eyes in the Flesh. Moving eyes on pictures in Distortion hallways, eyes in the pattern of its wallpaper, eyes are everywhere if you look hard enough.

I imagine Jon in the safehouse, hiding from the horror they created, accidently opening all the eyes on his face at once and not being able to close them back. It's painfully bright, it's all too much, and he tries to cover his his face with his hair only for new eyes to open between the strands. They fully cover themselves with a blanket, and when Martin comes looking for them, the pattern on it has shifted to look like hundreds of eyes.

These remarkable and unconventional mannequins were sculpted by Pierre Imans--an early 20th century French mannequin manufacturer who utilized wax, real hair, glass eyes, and even makeup to make his mannequins as realistic as possible (some of the faces are still a bit stylized, however, making them off-putting to some people).

Imans is notable for creating the first mannequin of color (modeled after a combination of singer and activist Josephine Baker and a famous Erté painting titled "Queen of Sheba"), as well as creating a lesbian couple that would be displayed at an exhibit called "The Streets of Paris" in 1920.
