if you lose interest in a trans woman when you find out she has a vagina then die
Annoyed with a video essay about misogyny in fandom spaces because the person making the video was saying "men" when they meant men, but they were saying "AFAB people" when they meant women. Quickly. What Demographic Are You Excluding By Saying This. This stupid fucking video essay was supposed to be about misogyny whilst excluding an entire demographic of women that does very much experience a lot of misogyny in fandom spaces (and everywhere else for that matter).
No-one wants to admit we are subject to misogyny. They would rather sweep it under the rug and misgender trans men in the process.
Would being called big dog fix me? Who knows?
Mixed reviews
"What's up, big dog; I'm ratsmacker" is going to live rent free in my head for a little while

a misogynistic society is so threatened by the concept of trans women - women that "had the opportunity" to be privileged men and chose not to - that they start making up privileges women have in order to explain why trans women exist. going into womens restrooms isnt a privilege, playing womens sports isnt a privilege, lesbianism isnt a privilege, yet they present them as such to try and explain why trans women are women for nefarious reasons. a misogynistic society will never understand that trans women have no ulterior motive for being women
It's not even hard to acknowledge the privelege you have over other more marginalized people within your demographic, and it does nothing to erase the struggles you still face.
Watch, I'll do it right now:
I, a white trans woman, have privelege over all racialized trans women. All the transmisogyny I face is amplified a thousandfold for them because that transmisogyny intersects with the racism they also face. And I will never be able to truly understand that as they do.
Did the transmisogyny I am subjected to dissapear? Lol, no.
Do I feel a need to invent some bullshit term like "transmisogynblanc" because they have the term "transmisogynior" to describe the specific form of oppression they face at the crossroads of transphobia, misogyny, and racism? Lol, no. I'm not at those crossroads. I'm just at the intersection of misogyny and transphobia. There isn't even an "anti white racism" road to intersect with those other two, it doesn't exist.
In case you're too dense: this post is criticizing "transmisandry/transandrophobia" ideology and it's belief that transmascs don't benefit from patriarchy.
Something that annoys me is the constant whining about "more queer spaces, more queer communities" but then they're immediately like "yeah! And we need ones that don't cost money or require a purchase!"
Girl that's exactly why they close down after a year. You NEED money to keep these places open. There's no magic Gay Money Pot with endless cash to keep these places open. It requires YOU to put your money where your values are!!
Like there was a queer coffee shop in my city. Owned and operated by a bunch of LGBT people. Not a cishet on the schedule. Tons of young people raved about it.
And it made it about 2 years before shutting down completely. Because all those young people who begged for a place exactly like this would just show up, not buy a single thing, and leave. You cannot build a community without putting your money into it. This isn't about capitalism, this is just reality. You can't open a restaurant where no one buys your food. You can't have a gay bar that only serves 5% of the population and actively excludes everyone else. This is what I mean when I say people confuse "community" and "friend group." You're not obligated to spend money when hanging out with your friend group. But if you want a lasting community centered space, you need to open up that wallet.
saw a TikTok talking about how fucked up it is that people are abandoning trans people politically.
opened the comments to see somebody (transmasculine) commenting about how transfems get all the attention and how they wish more people would talk about transmasculine people
I reply to explain that trans women are (and should be) centered in conversations about transphobia because they are treated worse and have worse sociopolitical outcomes. as politely as I am able while still conveying the relevant information
within the span of an hour this person and a separate transmasculine person reply to this comment to argue this. the creator of the video, who is also transmasculine btw, likes the comment I was disagreeing with and deletes mine.
so anyways, it’s fucked up how people are abandoning trans people politically. and when I say trans people I mean WOMEN!!!!!!!!! And FEMS!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY BLACK TRANSFEMS!!!!!!!
This is transfeminism!
If black trans women aren't centered in the struggle for trans liberation, true trans liberation will never occur.
In another life where she didnt fumble 🥹❤️🩹

the positioning of transfem hypervisibility and transmasc invisibility as two opposing forces is so insidious and dangerous because it reinforces the status quo where trans men's voices are already valued over trans women's
trans women can never speak because we're already apparently soaking up all the attention... nevermind that the "attention" is fearmongering government propaganda
trans women can take up no space, because any amount of attention is further proof that we hog the spotlight from trans men. our visibility is thought of as coming at the cost of that of trans men. so if a trans man speaks over us or silences us, he's just seen as balancing the scales. but our visibility and theirs are not actually opposing forces. a decrease in visibility for trans women is not an increase for trans men. it's just a decrease
It also assumes that we're actually getting space. It's like, we have wanted signs up so we don't get to have any other flyers up.
No one sees our opinions, or takes, or love, or joy. They see ONLY that we're a big boogey man. Arguably, we're not hyper visible, we're hyper targeted. Every thing I've ever seen as Transmasc Invisibility, mostly applies to Trans Women too
honestly yes "hypervisibility" is such a ridiculous way to put it. it's deliberately redefining our persecution for the purpose of framing it as the equal opposite of a transmasc issue
it's frankly insulting as fuck. the problem is not that we're "too visible" the problem is the hatred and the caricaturing, but because our issues just have to be reduced to being the counterpart to some man shit, they have to frame it like it's a problem of "visibility." fuck off
shout out to my local hot topic with this display in the window
that's genius... xi jinping was right
What I need to know is who was the foot fiendin’ alchemist who first looked at a dead giant’s tootsies and went “I think this would make a perfect cocktail garnish”

transfeminists get blamed for "sowing division" all the time, but the transandrobro urge to position an equal and opposite transmasculine issue for every transfeminist issue reinforces actually divisive shit like this. gonna start blaming transandrobros for "dividing the community" every time they frame visibility as an issue of scarcity
My job is called "being a cute princess" and I should get paid a salary of $80,000,000,000,000 per second
Strictly speaking, princesses don't need to get paid. Their social station means that they are to be given everything they need - and if, perhaps, her retainers believe one should get paid for giving something to the princess, it's the guards who handle the transaction
My job is called, "being a cute princess," and I should get everything I want handed to me the second I want it.
