it's Guinevereeeeeeee! it took a million years to figure out what I wanted to do with her- as with everything else, I'm not interested in doing a 1:1 retelling of anything, right now I'm just ruminating on some stuff while I write :p right now I'm circling around Medea and the early-later changes in Guinevere's narrative traditions + betrayal, but every attempt I made to condense those thoughts down to a couple of sentences failed LMAO we'll get into it later for a comic or something

anyway, as always: the core of it is this

finally. FINALLY. getting into mordred's side of things, but first I wanted to spend a minute with medraut without mordred in mind to get a feel for things long gone so that I'll have a better grasp on where everything ends up wrt the french cycles etc before I start really breaking things down and examining the horror of family and pulling at threads to see what character unravels from all that.

man, I didn't know mordred had snake motifs, this is great. for me. terrible for him. RIP mordred, your life is an unending misery. but the snakes are great for me personally. I can do a lot with a snake motif. anyway, an early design for mordred-- for now I've combined an old gawain design with some other thoughts, but it might change when I revisit gawain haha

arthur and medraut

accidentally, a comic that was supposed to be about Merlin and Arthur turned into a comic about Kay and Merlin and now I’m looking at the rest of my story ideas and you know what. the dynamic compels me enough to overhaul my notes to focus on this
