How do you think like, staffs within the Elder Scrolls get charged? I know you use soul gems, but how do you think you charge it with the soul gem? do you have to rub them together? do some weird ritual where you meditate the energy into the staff...??? Is there a panel on the back where you change the soul gems like batteries?
A lot of people say it's impossible, and that the characters are doomed to craziness/divine punishment. but I found a neat work-around to this

In real life, the definition is pretty clear cut and strict.
Theist: Someone who believes and/or worships any deity (not limited to one)
Atheist: Someone who does not believe in any deity nor worships them (not limited to one)
Agnostic; Someone who wonders whether any deity exists or not (regardless of their worship status, since its a truly neutral belief)
HOWEVER, I believe that applying these strict definitions to elder scrolls hinders some creativity. I believe that atheism, agnosticism and theistic definitions should be more open for this series. As one example;
I would consider my OC to be an atheist in this universe, despite him believing the deities to exist. Sasz Servashi is a theologist though he worships no one and has no strong feelings towards any higher being. He also has no interest in communicating with them or garnering their attention in any way.
In real life he would technically be considered religious because he simply does believe deities exist, but I don't think this would make sense at all in the context of elder scrolls...
(Fixed) definitions;

Remember, TES is not set in modern times, so not everyone is blessed (HA) with education on the deities. And lots of crazy wacky things happen in their world, so it would make perfect sense for some random-ass farmer in Morrowind to blindly worship Azura even if they don't believe she exists. In that farmer's mind, she COULD exist despite their beliefs against her, so they don't wanna take the risk of accidentally pissing her off and being punished for it.
I wanna know y'alls thoughts. I think my fixed definition keeps the old one but also makes it less strict. but lemme know what u think
While watching a DVD from the library my TV popped up a message saying to press a button if I wanted to watch this from additional providers.
It's never done that before so I looked it up and turns out Roku TVs have added all sorts of creepy things in the privacy section since I last checked.
One of which being they take screenshots from what you're watching and send them to third parties to identify it.

PSA - Do not buy an LG smart TV. They just added a line to their terms of use that it's the user's responsibility to inform any guests in their house that by entering they consent to be recorded, in order to comply with wiretapping laws. That thing is literally recording you.
You can find tutorials online telling you how to open that thing up and physically remove the mic and wifi module. Frankly I don't trust anything less.

My woke take, as someone who has worked in both a public library and a school library, is that we desperately need both more books that are at a higher reading level but a less mature subject matter, and more books that are at a lower reading level but a more mature subject matter, because 8 year olds who are advanced readers are still 8 year olds and don't want to read about graphic violence and torture, and teens and adults who have learning difficulties or who are just later readers for whatever reason are still teens and adults and don't want to read about Billy the Bunny going to school or whatever the hell.

on the topic of disabled characters, though, i think a LOT of artists give characters mobility aids that their character wouldn't actually benefit from using.
i'm sort of having a mild brain fog moment rn so i can't fully articulate what i'm on about, but i think a lot of able-bodied artists view things like canes and crutches as interchangeable. and they often don't know enough about the wide range of mobility aids to make an informed decision about what their character might actually use based on their disability
i also think that aids like walkers and rollators are sort of viewed as "cringe" on some level, and many people view them to be "just for old people," so many artists will opt for giving a character who has full-body pain and fatigue a cane (which, in many cases, can potentially WORSEN full-body pain) instead. and a lot of people don't realize that most wheelchair users are able to walk, so they don't consider it an option for characters with chronic pain
idk it's kind of frustrating. i've genuinely never, ever seen a character that uses a rollator before. not once. i cannot name a single one. i know of multiple ocs who are described to have full-body pain, dizziness, and fatigue that are drawn as cane users and are never shown with wheelchairs or walkers, though
it's also sort of sad? i've been diagnosed since i was twelve years old, and i only heard of rollators LAST YEAR. and that was only because i saw one irl and immediately asked what it was. i wonder how many disabled people out there don't even know it's an option solely because they're completely underrepresented online and in media
if you're a creative with a disabled oc, PLEASEEE check out this link. it's a very nice and detailed guide for telling which mobility aids suit someone's needs best. it's incredibly important to make the right choice for your character! mobility aids tell you a LOT about someone's lived experience. picking the right one will communicate to your audience #1 what your character goes through #2 that you UNDERSTAND what your character goes through!
