On the off chance that you came here because you want to pay me for art: I am technically willing to do commissions, but it has to be in the vein of what I'm posting here (see art tag). Dunmer, Sixth House stuff, Morrowind in general. I don't think commissions should be where I learn new things and get out of my comfort zone. Tried that in the past, don't like it.

Prices vary depending on how complex it is, what exactly you want, background etc. Multiple characters depend on how much you see of them

Requirements:
character references
visual references of what you want (a scene like/characters doing something like/this kind of pose/inspired by the following piece of art) => anything will do. random photo, google result, sketch (even a stick figure drawing on a post it)
you can always ask if I can do something you don't see here, but generally speaking if I don't draw it for myself (very complex scenery with weird perspectives or action shots, for example) chances are I can't do it
exception for canon characters: If you pick a canon character (say, Dagoth Ur) you can tell me to draw them in any situation I want (pick pricing option above/tell me what you don't want to see).

The soil testing equipment on Curiosity makes a buzzing noise and the pitch of the noise changes depending on what part of an experiment Curiosity is performing, this is the way Curiosity sings to itself.
So some of the finest minds currently alive decided to take incredibly expensive important scientific equipment and mess with it until they worked out how to move in just the right way to sing Happy Birthday, then someone made a cake on Curiosity’s birthday and took it into Mission control so that a room full of brilliant scientists and engineers could throw a birthday party for a non-autonomous robot 225 million kilometres away and listen to it sing the first ever song sung on Mars*, which was Happy Birthday.
This isn’t a sad story, this a happy story about the ridiculousness of humans and the way we love things. We built a little robot and called it Curiosity and flung it into the star to go and explore places we can’t get to because it’s name is in our nature and then just because we could, we taught it how to sing.
That’s not sad, that’s awesome.
*this is different from the first song ever played on mars (Reach For The Stars by Will.I.Am) which happened the year before, singing is different from playing

Ur art is so good and very inspiring esp how you use color and shading. Shading is my weak point, and sometimes I will study how you put shading into things to help me understand it
Thank you! This is flattering but confusing because I don't have any idea what I'm doing most of the time. Remember, I also draw somewhat colorblind and have no idea when I'll ever get a screen with proper un-dulled colors. But maybe that's worth examining? After doodling/sketching, shading is my favourite stage in the process, and I think a lot of people don't shade because they don't make it fun for themselves, and I'm always of the opinion you don't actually need to do a certain stage in a drawing if it feels uninspiring or frustrating. That's why I don't do lineart anymore, I just clean up the sketch and move on.
But shading is an excellent way to bring a character to life and give a drawing a certain mood/vibe/depth. When I realized shading isn't about emphasizing pits & creases & undersides in a subject but instead doing some kind of 4D chess with light sources, shading became the blood filled pumpkin that gets rolled into my enclosure. I feel a bit insane seeing artists shit on the whole light source thing, because it is SO enriching to my brain. You don't even need to make it realistic, if something looks cool enough, make the light shine through objects and shapes too, I promise that nobody will notice. And if there's a flaw, you learn from it! Even in background-free pieces, I always plan an invisible environment around the character before I shade the piece, just to know where the lights and colors come from. But that's just me, and sometimes I do bite off more than I can chew. There's so much more to shading but this is the fundamental thought process I build from.
Feel free to study my work, but if I have any good advice to give, aside from looking at photo references - it's to get into sculpting, either digital or physical or both. If you know shapes you start to understand shading.

Thankfully, it's very treatable, but I've got an interest in radiology being as reliable and accurate as possible.
If my Kaiser hospital bought some AI radiology tools and told its radiologists: "Hey folks, here's the deal. Today, you're processing about 100 x-rays per day. From now on, we're going to get an instantaneous second opinion from the AI, and if the AI thinks you've missed a tumor, we want you to go back and have another look, even if that means you're only processing 98 x-rays per day. That's fine, we just care about finding all those tumors."
If that's what they said, I'd be delighted. But no one is investing hundreds of billions in AI companies because they think AI will make radiology more expensive, not even if that also makes radiology more accurate. The market's bet on AI is that an AI salesman will visit the CEO of Kaiser and make this pitch: "Look, you fire 9/10s of your radiologists, saving $20m/year, you give us $10m/year, and you net $10m/year, and the remaining radiologists' job will be to oversee the diagnoses the AI makes at superhuman speed, and somehow remain vigilant as they do so, despite the fact that the AI is usually right, except when it's catastrophically wrong.
"And if the AI misses a tumor, this will be the human radiologist's fault, because they are the 'human in the loop.' It's their signature on the diagnosis."
This is a reverse centaur, and it's a specific kind of reverse-centaur: it's what Dan Davies calls an "accountability sink." The radiologist's job isn't really to oversee the AI's work, it's to take the blame for the AI's mistakes.
This is another key to understanding – and thus deflating – the AI bubble. The AI can't do your job, but an AI salesman can convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job. i think ppl would be a lot happier and better-adjusted on here if they realized that being online on a website is like being in any other casual public space full of people. if u walk into walmart u dont immediately think to yourself “i have to be friends with everyone in this walmart and if not everyone likes me i’m a failure” and u really shouldn’t feel that way online either. likewise if there’s a guy in the walmart parking lot shouting obscenities u probably wouldn’t answer him and that’s literally an exact equivalent to some of the weird stuff that people on here seem to feel they’re obligated to respond to.
