The colors of the demon and angel are not the normal colors of them, in case you thought they were.
Demons usually have black tips on everything- the edges of the wing membranes, tail tip, hands and feet, ear tips, and horn tips. They usually have darker skin tones, but they can have lighter skin tones too. Demons have black blood too.
Angels usually have white tips on everything- the tips of the wing feathers and tail feathers, ear tips, hands, and feet. Angels tend to vary more in skin tone than demons do. Angels have white blood too.
I drew the face of a vampire, werewolf, and all the different kinds of halflings.
Fun fact: voidlings technically have horns. They're just covered in skin and very long, fluffy fur :) that voidling is named Moppet too. Cuz they look like a Moppet to me.

I have a character who is supposed to be extremely paranoid and anxious. While I have an idea of how their paranoia could be visualized, I'm not entirely sure how to write it, or how to draw it. I could try, but I hate editing and revising T-T
If you have anxiety- any form of it- and you're willing to share what it's like/how it feels, I'd be very grateful.
And if you're interested in the story of this character, there's six chapters posted so far of Echo on Ao3 (author name is Damian_Dreamcatcher) I also have a sideblog for the world it's set in @dracoria-archives
If you're not comfortable sharing your experience publicly, I'd be okay with messages instead.
Making a new character. Don't have a name for them. Or the trainer.
Literally all I have for their story is that they were raised by humans (only humans, no other race's influence) to be a glorified giant hunting bird.
I don't have anything for a name or gender or anything. But I'll probably end up coming up with something eventually.
The bracelet is an id type of thing (I think it'd be hard to mix up this angel with another bird) (yes, no other people come to the place these two live) (idc if that doesn't make sense, just roll with it)
The anklet thingy is there for when they're outside/with their trainer.
Where did they get the egg? Don't think about that.
Cutie patooties who have seen personalized versions of The Horrors™ ^^
Damian and Azul- child soldiers. Azul's family treated him the same they treat others of his rank (he's got blue jay patterning, his family had eagle patterns) Damian has trauma but ion't wanna talk about it.
Dana and Adrian- Dana had a bomb go off in his face. Then he was left to rot in a celestial water soaked cave for months. Adrian doesn't really have trauma (he's such a nothingburger I gotta fix that)
Fuck I forgot Julian.
Quicksilver and Cobalt- quicksilver had a bad start because they were basically completely innocent. They had zero memory of their past life (Librarian got that end of the stick lucky them) but they had far too much toxic power that they couldn't- and still can't- control. So their start of "life" was immediate death and rotting. People feared them and then they got imprisoned alone for multiple millennia. Fun. Cobalt doesn't have trauma (he's more of a character than Adrian is at least)
Grey and Felix- another story ion't wanna go into too much detail in. Felix is good boy though.
And Snakebite and a still unnamed guy. Fuck captain viper. Basically. Just. I hate him.
Julian isn't drawn here but his wife is Juno. Julian got pushed off a sky island before he could fly and, naturally, went splat on the ground. But he still survived (because of his wife). He's a short king because his growth got stunted. He also can't fly. Ever. Baby face too.
Viper gave Snakebite his name. We hate Viper, so we don't refer to Snakebite by that name. Because fuck Viper.

Hierarchies fir angels and demons becuz I pulled an all nighter again by accident and feel like this might be cool to write about.
Demons
Their hierarchy is based on the color of their wings/scales.
Red/pink, green/yellow, blue/purple, brown/orange, white, silver, copper black, and gold (listed from lowest rank to highest)
The colors are associated with higher or lower intelligence and strength. There are a few special colors that can show up.
Copper edges/tips- indicates fire breath (which comes with impenetrable scales)
Rainbow/iridescent scales- can appear seemingly randomly. Demons that hatch with this usually jump up in rank simply because beauty=power (pretty privilege) (yippee)
Examples of demons- Damian has golden wings. Despite having hatched basically out in the woods, when he came into society, he immediately gained trust with the empress and became high enough in rank that consequences rarely got put on him. Mary Sue. I know.
Dana and an unnamed demon from a foc i wrote- both have red wings. They're considered unimportant. While the hierarchy doesn't matter quite as much in Dana's time, it still can affect his life in regards to interactions with other demons. It does not help that he's horrifically scarred and crippled.
A few other currently unnamed characters that have blue, Black, and white wings- since theyre unnamed and side characters, sadly they dont get to have enough relevance to show how it affects them. Sadness :(
Captain viper- fucking asshole who also has golden wings. I hate this bitch so much and of course he's just as much of an arrogant asshole as Damian (except he's worse.)
Juno- she has white wings, and while again, her wing color doesn't affect her life that much since she lives in Dana's time (somewhere near it i guess), it can still affect her interactions with other demons.
I keep saying it can affect interactions with other demons, but the only demons that actually show this dynamic are asshole one and two (Damian and Captain Viper) and unnamed guy who got forced into a servant's role (red wings). Viper at least shows this more into the modern era at least.
For angels, it's more about patterning/real bird associations.
Highest rank (nobles/royals)- Owl patterns. Associated with wisdom and power (as usual) sometimes the owl patterns can show up in a job/role that's considered lower ranked like scholars)
Soldiers/military- raptors/birds of prey like eagles, hawks, falcons, and ospreys. Associated with strength and good strategy (hence why theyre military focused)
Scholars/scientists- corvid patterns (basically just black wings). Associated with wisdom/intelligence and goid memory. Also considered weaker, so they aren't usually used for combat.
Doctors/priests- vulture patterns. Associated with cleanliness and healing (obviously). Tend to come in after battles instead of during them.
Jesters/entertainers/high ranked enough to have respect but not exactly valued (if that makes sense)- parrot/birds of paradise patterns. They're the singers, dancers, painters, comedians, etc etc etc of angel society. Considered beautiful and generally smart, but not educated. Witty. I guess.
Skilled workers/guild associated people- other birds of prey like cranes, herons, secretary birds, pelicans, and uhhhhhh. Another example i cant think of :> theyre similar to the parrots/birds of paradise but less arts related and more hunting, engineering, farming, etc etc related. Similar to the soldiers, theyre considered strong and good at strategy and planning n stuff.
Im very quickly getting tired. Shit. We gotta finish this though.
Okay uhhhhhhh.
Finally you have the peasants and fuckin. Pawns or whatever idk- backyard bird patterns (bluejays, robins, cardinals, etc etc) theyre basically the lowest of the low.
There's also two special patterns foe angels too!
Pure white/dove angel (leucism and albinism count)- pretty self explanatory, but theyre considered highly beautiful and elegant, but are also treated like glass and overly protected. As a dove angel, yes, you might get to live in luxury and be as educated as you like, but you're also guarded from any possible harm and basically imprisoned to preserve your "purity".
Silver edges/tips- an indicator of an ice breather. Ice breathers are highly valuable because holy shit you can breathe ice? :0
Uhhhhhh yeah.
I cant eep yet even though i feel a headache coming on because I need to wake my mom up for work. She wakes up in two hours.
They're native to Ved'ma's rainforests and are almost always in the trees. They only go to the ground if they have to (or want to, for whatever reason).
They're mute and have no jaw, relying on a proboscis and a little hole to eat. They can make their proboscis hard and needle like if they need to get through the tough shell of a fruit or the bark of a tree, but they can also make it soft and flexible.
They have three tentacles- one on their head, one in between their shoulder blades, and their tail. When not being used, the tentacles lay on top of each other smoothly.
They do not make noise, so they communicate through the flashing of different colors and patterns along their tentacles and also use the head and back tentacles to relay information. The head one relays information, facts, what's dangerous/what isn't, etc. The back one relays emotions and some thoughts and is usually used between close individuals (family members, friends, and partners). The tail is kinda like jellyfish tendrils. They can control whether they sting you, but still.
They're heavily based on Khanivore.
Mainly just the body shape part.
I still fucking love Khanivore (that's also where I got the name for these creatures -v-)
Uhhhh but yea. They're technically classified as a type of creature in this world, but can also be considered monsters.
Oh yeah, some kind of. Oc stuff/interactions. Between a human and a Khann.
Then I made the Scythe horse, three jawed lizard, and exploring more about the Khanns and Banana lizards. I also have plans for other subspecies of Drakosavra Froutofagos (dragon lizard fruit eaters) (idk man)
The three jawed lizard is a Magna Lacerta Tribus Maxilla (three jawed giant lizard) (super uh created name)
Didn't do any "scientific name" for the Scythe horse. They just be existing.
My scribbled words are about possible biomes for the skies and underground, but maybe also the surface. :3
I'm not posting it on Tumblr, definitely not, but like. When it's eventually finished I want to post it on ao3. But like.
I'm scared. Cuz it's super different from my first fic (Bog's story).
I'm still debating whether I even want to continue with a certain scene (cuz idk how to write it at all) (zero experience in what happens) (not to say I have experience with war, but I know pain at least) (idek atp)
Might just like. Make it a couple chapters where it cuts off at that scene and continues right at the end in the second chapter. I don't really wanna write the scene anyways. Hrm.
Yeah. Yeahhh
Perfect plan >:]
A character is gonna eat another character.
It's about a demon X angel thingy.
Came up with the idea because of a fanfic I read a while ago. And then it expanded.
I'm talking too much now. I need to get back to writing.
I should be writing The Poison Druid's Tale, but I'm workin on this one first fuk you. Fuk dreamcatcher and her science experiments and "accidental" murders.

Demons- fire, gemstones, or reptilian related names. Some may choose their own names that might not fit these guidelines (like Damian or Stik) in general, you could probably say something like the skywing's naming system thing. I think. Kinda.
Angels- ice/snow, birds, certain gems, or certain color related names. Like demons (though far less common) they may take on a different name later on. Adrian and Julian are examples of this, while Azul and Uzura never changed their names.
Werewolves- wolf/canine, earth, and feat based names. I don't have many wolves to go off of, but Vixxen is an example. They're an orphan though, so it's unclear if that's their birth name or not.
Vampires- usually very random, can come from lots of different areas. Two examples are Jasper and Taka.
Witches- usually depend on the coven, but a common theme is "nightwing names" where they're named something like Vigilance or Destiny or some other meaningful name. Can be two part or just a single word. For the specific covens, they usually keep with the theme of the animal (raven, crow, vulture, cat, bat, rat, fox, and snake) an example of a (covenless) witch is Barry/Berry (they can't decide).
I dont have a lot of named OCS T-T
Humans have normal names (for our standards ig)
Halflings- warrior cats names. They don't do the coming of age thing with the kit paw, etc etc. But they almost always have two part names unless they change them.
Sacred items
The main five were given gifts from their respective creators (when they were still Nightmares).
The demons got the Emberstones, stones that glow slightly and can range from dark orange to a bright red color. They're said to be one of Shaytan's scales. These stones can be used to quicken the healing process of a demon's wounds and can (rarely, it's undecided) reverse the damage of a fatal blow. Demons use these stones for both their healing power and as weapons. The stones are surprisingly shatter resistant and are very easy to carve into blades. Why do they make weapons out of these stones (other than to look cool)? Because the stones burn the flesh of angels and can cause irritation (and easily scar) other races too. Very rarely do angels get scars, but they're almost always caused by emberstone blades.
The Angels, on the other hand, got celestial water (or ice). The water started out as an icy feather that fell from Malaikat's wing and liquified upon reaching warmer temperatures. This water looks very similar to regular water, aside from it naturally removing any impurities and causing it to appear far more bluish or cyan than normal water. How does it remove impurities? Dissolving them :) celestial water is extremely acidic. But it heals angels- quite quickly, actually. And, it burns demons just as quickly. It's found as ice in the topmost sky islands, but as water in most other places. It has a very high boiling point. Angels use it to purify their weapons (to go into battle against demons). This is usually where demons get most of their scars.
Werewolves got the shkoora. Supposedly, it's the skin of Volk's wolf form and is said to give the wolf that wears it immense strength, intelligence, and invincibility. It's unclear whether the jewelry adorning it came with the original gift or if those have been added over the millennia. Currently, it is missing.
Vampires got a double gift, the Blutstäb and the Blutwanze. Zmeya created the Blutwanze and the staff it perches on for the vampires as a guiding hand and a way to heal wounds (non physical). The Blutwanze is said to be a literal piece of Zmeya, locked inside the little bug creature's body. Both are missing, as of modern day.
And witches got the crystal balls, Ved'ma's "seeing eyes". Ved'ma requested that the witches (back then, cat nightmares) share the crystal balls with the other races, but the witches refused and kept them for themselves. The crystals are versatile in their uses and the witches were. Greedy. But maybe it was good, for once, to be greedy.
Humans didn't get shit cuz Efiriya didn't do special treatment for her creations.
And halflings didn't get anything because Polynavyk didn't get the memo that the People Godds were giving their People gifts.
Yes, this is just a quick explanation on why I didn't give the halfings gifts, no, I will not apologize.
>:P
Oh yeah. And the flags. Too lazy to explain those rn.
Then started creating the other four of the first gen godds- Dracora, dradvow, Anahita, and lapis.
Stopped creating and laid back, no longer bored.
First gen godds started creating more godds, including life and death, good and evil, sun and moon, reincarnation, etc etc. Eventually leading to the creation of the people godds, but we aren't there just yet.
^Creation of Godds era
The goddess of life, Vitalis, decided to create a mortal group that had extended life spans and incredible intelligence- the Drakons.
Drakons started worshipping the Godds.
Godds flattered.
Godds create a new godd, just for the Drakons- Monarch.
Drakons eventually start abusing their power over monarch (who was, technically, created to be subservient to them)
Monarch went apeshit and caused the Drakons to flee, making them disappear forever.
Godds found out. Monarch (now called Ruler) gets shattered. First shattering of a godd in history.
Gets split into the guardian of all knowledge- Librarian, and the scum of corruption- originally unnamed, but eventually named Quicksilver.
^Age of the Drakons
The old godds enter a depressive state, world goes into an ice age of sorts.
The people godds- ved'ma, Shaytan, Malaikat, Zmeya, and Volk come up with a new idea.
Creation of nightmares commences.
Cat Nightmares first, by ved'ma. Then bat nightmares by Zmeya. Then wolf nightmares by Volk. Then snake nightmares by Shaytan. And finally owl nightmares by Malaikat.
Efiriya, goddess of the Wilderness, creates humans.
Ved'ma puts it upon the nightmares to protect the humans.
Ehhhhhhhhhhh. They tried.
Eventually, a group of nightmares arise that don't follow the command to protect the humans.
Out of respect of the godds, a cat nightmare named Mercury banishes the group and hides them away so they'll never be found again.
After this, Mercury also finds a way to make the nightmares not forcefully transform at night. Over time, this causes the nightmares to become: the Demons (snake), Angels (owl), Vampires (bat), Werewolves (wolf), and Witches (cat).
^Nightmare Era.
Over time, the new versions of these groups formed different societies.
Polynavyk, a new goddess, also arises and creates her own groups- the Halflings- and grants them their very own continent named after her.
The halflings are largely unknown or ignored by the others during this time though.
The Demons create the Empire. The Angels create their Kingdom. The Werewolves have their Tribes, the Vampires have their Colonies, and the Witches have, and keep, their covens.
They split up, staying to their respective continents and generally staying out of each other's business unless they go to war.
The Demons and angels did a lot of that during this time. The war was ongoing and only stopped during peace negotiations that never went anywhere.
The Werewolves joined with the humans and started hunting vampire colonies.
Witches. States on their continent, studying and mastering their crafts in peace. The halflings also led peaceful lives.
Eventually, an accident happened during a meeting between the empress of the demons and the king of the angels, leading to both dying and there being a power vacuum.
Humans discovered the continent of Polynavyk and shifted their focus from the vampires to the halfings. The Werewolves, after having helped break up the majority of the vampire colonies, broke their tribes apart back into the smaller packs.
The power vacuum for the demons and angels left chaos behind and far more brutal wars with zero peace. Many angels fled to the sky islands shrouded in thick fog that demons couldn't navigate. Demons fled to the Underground, laying in the dark in case an angel is stupid enough to wander in blindly.
The vampires, with their decimated population, hid among the trees and caves of their continent, hiding at the slightest hint of danger. The Werewolves stayed to their packs, rarely venturing out alone or meeting other packs.
The witches started traveling. To share their knowledge and their magic. They were shocked to find so much ruin among the other peoples.
The halflings were being hunted. Whether it was to take their land or use their flesh for any sliver of magic a human could wield, humans were hunting them down.
But, it got harder after Polynavyk noticed and split her continent in two. Not in half. She was hoping her halflings could take the bigger piece, but there were too little left to occupy it. So they were forced to the smaller piece. Humans renamed the larger half to Efiriya. Despite the chasm of churning waves between the split continent's pieces, the humans continued trying to take the rest of the land the halflings had left.
^Era of War
After the dust finally settled- in Shaytan and Malaikat, at least- an industrial boom started. The knowledge the witches had gained from their years of peace during the Era of War, they had discovered new ways to do things and create things through the use of natural resources (fossil fuels, sunlight, wind, and water) but also through magic. And magic was the big part.
(I'm not well versed in the industrial revolution for our world, so I'ma just skip over most of this. Just know that things progressed very quickly in both good and bad ways)
They went through different stages of technology that our world had, leading to different types popping up all over- normal industrial revolution, modern, steampunk, etc.
The only problem was that, for those who communed with the godds, it was getting harder and harder. Magic was draining from the world and things were dying.
So. When people took notice of this, they thought. They slowed down. And most places gave up this amazing technology. The stuff that allowed them to do so much in so little time. The stuff that was killing their godds.
Some places still have these technological periods. Most of the advanced (modern and cyberpunk especially) places are in Efiriya- humans found it hard to give up this power.
Most places reverted back to a mostly middle ages type style.
(yes, this is an excuse to have stories set in different types of crap and also to shoo away any "but that didn't exist during that time period..." Comments) (>:P)
^Technology Boom
Now, to the "modern day".
Most people still keep to their continents, but there's a bit more mixing.
Humans and Halflings are still. In conflict.
It's a time of peace, you could say.
^modern day
Hope you guys enjoyed this somewhat brief timeline. :3

The language of all beings except for one group- humans.
Why did Efiriya do that when she made humans? Idk, cuz she doesn't usually have much of a sense of humor.
>Efiriya is the godd of the Wilderness
Anyways.
I think it's easy to figure out why the first name of this language was Drakon, or Drakon Tongue. Because the first beings to come up with it were the Drakons!
The Drakons had an entire system for the grammar and writing, and even had different accents and dialects.
But, in the present of Dracoria, no written version of the language remains. Any remnants of it were either destroyed or taken by the Drakons during their escape.
This is partially why the people of Dracoria are bilingual (excluding humans). Humans made up the language that's usually called Human by other beings, but most people call it Common. I'm lazy, bear with me.
All beings, except humans, are born or hatched pretty fluent in their species's version of Wild. There are different versions, yes.
Since Wild is a universal language (everyone can speak/understand it for the most part) it's hard to think a snake that barely ever makes noise can understand the twittering of a bird.
So. Let's. Try our best to explain this -.-
"people" wild- much more standardized for all people that speak it. An angel and a demon can understand each other speaking wild even if the sounds might not be the same. Angels speak more in bird noises while demons are more hissing and growling when speaking wild. People wild tends to also have a wider range of vocabulary and fuller sentences. There are some poets that read their poems and other literature in wild.
"monster" wild- less standardized for all monsters, much more specific to species. Monster species that are more closely related (say, a tauron and centaur) can usually understand each other's languages better than ones that are less related (let's say a Fae and a Maned Deer) as a general rule, mammals will understand mammals, birds will understand birds, reptiles will understand reptiles, etc etc etc. Their speech patterns, while not as complicated as "people" wild, can still get across lots of meaning. They usually speak in shorter sentences with words that can have several meanings depending on tone and context. This version is considered the hardest to learn due to how many different versions of simply bird monster wild there can be. Every species of monster has a different version- even if a harpy and a (bird version) siren are bird like, there's still differences in pronunciation, meaning, etc. A person (especially one that isn't a bird) might find it more difficult to learn the bird monster's version of Wild.
"beast" wild- basically non standardized at all. Very difficult to learn like monster wild, but easier in that they usually keep the meanings of their words very straight forward and usually keep to shorter sentences. A unicorn isn't gonna be a poet, they're gonna look at you, say you look like shit (they're mean, don't listen to them) then bound away. Most beasts tend to seem kinda rude and act like they're better than people (they don't like Common speakers)
creature and animal wild- very short sentences, tend to rely heavily on body language over the tone of their words. Tend to also use shorter, simpler words, just to get their point across.
Plant/fungi wild- uhhhhh. Idek how their language works. Elves and other nature beings would know more than me about how they speak wild. I don't even think they speak it. It's more of a. Sending out their feelings n stuff. Yeah. Idk. Plants and fungi are fully aware that you step on them though. Be nice >:[
Obviously godds and deities also speak wild, but theyre basically the same as people wild or the original Drakon tongue.
Drakon tongue did incorporate mind/thoughts/feelings into their language, along with body language.
Godds happen to enjoy speaking wild the way plants do too.
