strange time for a love poem but i can’t stop my wondering all the things i could do with my body - chopping wood, drawing a curtain, jumping into the river again. i want to be underwater with you. it’s like how the song goes. the one without any words. i am quiet breathing my air against you when it’s safe again. warm weather insects landing on my arms. last week i noticed all my veins humming so softly. i could barely hear it until i got outside. i find myself erupting every night, and in the morning breathe like two people.
