do you think liz and jack should have ended up together?

AHHHHH SO I actually feel super conflicted about this ? a part of me really wanted to see them together in the end. basically, i’m a huge sucker for romance. i would have been 100% OK with it happening, or with some wacky series of events landing them together somewhere down the road. ( liz’s marriage staying together ? on this tv show ? )

HOWEVER, A LARGER part of me sees the value in their relationship remaining platonic. them being best friends is just really enjoyable ; the dynamic is unique for television. they’re able to balance each other out without lust or romantic tensions getting in the way. i mean, in the last episodes liz & jack did touch on the question of why they had never gotten together ( despite being on the rebound at the same time, & jack being a massive “slut” ), but i think that ultimately they just aren’t attracted to each other in that way.

REGARDLESS OF THIS jack’s relationship with liz is the most fulfilling relationship he’s ever had. #1 best friends. best best friends ever.
